| | Life has its ups and downs (sometimes it seems like more downs than ups.) But I always think that everything has a reason. Though sometimes we might have to look a little harder for that reason - it's always there. I couldn't even begin to list the number of things I've learned from the downs in my life. Besides that ---- how boring would life be without em.
I'm looking for someone that shows respect for other people and himself. Someone who is kind, considerate and knows how to treat a lady like a lady. I'm not only looking for a companion, but I'm also looking for someone I can share my thoughts, dreams and hopes with. Someone I can talk with about nothing important. Up for a lively debate, I'm game for that too. Someone who would listen and be understanding and supportive. I would also like to be that person for you. Show you the same level of consideration and respect as well as understanding and support. We all have our difficult days --- as well as "wow" days --- I'd like you to feel I'm someone you could share your feelings with.
I'm looking for a friend first. And all the qualities that go into maintaining a friendship ---- honesty, trust, communication, integrity... I believe friendship is necessary before any other type of relationship is possible. Hmmmm what type of relationship am I looking for? Well, let's just say let's start as friends and see if anything develops from there.
HELLOOOO IS THERE ANYBODY LIKE THAT OUT THERE???? IF YOU'RE THERE, LET ME KNOW.
One pet peeve of mine is when people interrupt. Listening doesn't seem to be very important to many people. I believe it's important for someone to be able to both express their own ideas as well as listen and respond to other ideas. For me, nothing will ruin a date faster than if we're talking and the gentleman interrupts and begins talking about something completely different. It is simple courtesy. Respect. Common sense. I believe this is just as important during a "heated debate" as during a quiet dinner conversation. And yes, it's a two way street. When I interrupt, I expect to be called on it.
One of my favorite activities is swimming. Actually, I like to be around water as much as possible. I would absolutely love to learn to SCUBA dive. Other activities I enjoy include walking (inside and out), riding bikes, dining out, reading, watching movies, boating (I know, another water activity), collecting German beer steins, music and teaching. I want to have fun in life ---- maybe not jumping out of airplanes ---- but that leaves a lot of other experiences. I haven’t been white water rafting in over 20 years, would LOVE to go again (can't seem to stay away from that water.) I enjoy my hobbies/ activities, but would like to experience new ones. Come on, get aboard, let's find out what we have in common. Or better yet, maybe you can introduce me to new experiences.
Children and animals are both important to me. I have a 17-year-old daughter whom I love dearly. I also work with young children. I'm just not the type to work in a classroom of teenagers all day. I also love animals. Cats, dogs you name it. I love to be around them. I've been told I'm able to quickly bond with any animal. I think this is pushin it. But I'll take what I can get. Purposely hurt an animal or child? I don't understand. Give so much yet need so little. Until someone clears this up for me, I spose I'll just stay baffled. |
