I am a study in contrasts.

I enjoy people - knowing them and learning what motivates them fascinates me. Yet I am an introvert who can become overwhelmed in crowds. My work is important, but it isn't what defines me. My family is extremely valuable but my personal identity is, too.

I have too many interests to fully develop in one lifetime. I enjoy theatre, both participating in and watching. While I have some specific preferences in music, seeing any music performed live is fun for me. At home, I like to knit, read, and watch movies. However, my favorite activity is spending time with an interesting person and talking about whatever passes through our minds.

I am a teacher, and my passion is teaching writing (I am currently working on my Master's degree in writing). If you write me, you should keep this in mind. Whether it is fair or not, I will decide to respond to you or not based on the words you write. If you can't be bothered to use complete words (you NOT u, your/you're NOT ur), punctuation, or complete sentences, most likely I won't be bothered to respond.

Since talking with interesting people is one of my favorite things to do, for a first date I like to simply arrange to meet somewhere where we can both have a good conversation. After all, how can you know if you want to see someone again, if you don't get a good sense of who they are? Talking is good for that.
