I'm just the girl from Brooklyn. 16 summers in the Catskills are indelibly etched into my brain and soul. I learned to slow dance to Ben E King's "Stand by Me" and get goosebumps every time I hear that song. I have that quick, edgy, kind of humor that east coasters seem to retain - and love to exchange sharp, witty banter. I'm 59 and the pix are really me and current(AUG-OCT 09) - I guess I'm lucky to look younger. Yes, I was married for 30 years, divorced now for nearly 6 and have been in two lengthy relationships in this time. I am looking for the real thing, for the rest of time. I want to share my life with my best friend; the man I grow to love. I'm not looking for a pen pal, so please be reasonably close so we can meet quickly to see if there is spontaneous combustion. I am not religious; I enjoy the culture, traditions and warmth of the secular components of Judaism, but am open and comfortable with others' faiths, as long as there is no pressure or agenda to participate in an organized way. I like men 6' or more; but have no issue with hair; either the color or presence of it, I do have an aversion to roadkill that might have landed on top of your head; I like facial hair, on you-that is, and enjoy seeing pictures that show your eyes and smile.


I'm crazy about music - can't imagine a day without it - play piano and listen to a variety of genres, love live music and concerts.
I am a middle school teacher -I teach English, History, beginning E.S.L. and elective Spanish for a large public school district, and I also hold a realtor's license. I really enjoy teaching kids who are at this volatile, emotional age; can't say I've ever had a dull, boring day; we laugh a lot and I form strong connections with my students that last well after they graduate.
I watch some tv, not much - enjoy House, Two and a Half Men, reruns of Seinfeld, Curb, EverYbody Loves Raymond, History Channel, Documentaries, sports with you- not much else - life is too short to spend that way. I work out several times a week at the gym because it rejuvenates me.
I have indoor cats; hope you don't mind, and I love dogs and most animals. I have had a reputation for being the one lost animals would seek out; they somehow knew I would provide safe harbor.

You know why we are both here; maybe we're meant to find each other. Suns become moons too quickly and the untraveled road lies just ahead.

I am extremely comfortable with myself, my appearance, my energy and spirit. I AM NOT SEEKING A PARTNER WHO IS SIGNIFICANTLY YOUNGER, OR OLDER, THAN MYSELF. I have found myself to be most compatible with men in their 50's, but am open-minded.

Forget the beach and that sunset walk - let's do something unexpectedly original. One of my best dates involved playing with toys at Restoration Hardware.

A great date for me is one that doesn't require me to enter the Witness Protection Program at its conclusion, and if you make me laugh so hard that I wish had stopped to buy Depends, well, we may have something magical happening.
