About Me

I'm a "sunshine girl" to say the least, a Queenslander through and through.
I was born in Cloncurry and raised in Rockhampton. Catholic family, six siblings. (Bless my mother's soul, the good dutiful wife that she was). Have lived in Brisbane for twenty years, however, you can't take the friendly, country girl out of me.
I HAVE PUT OUT THE WELCOME MAT!
I only sleep on the left side of the bed and I leave the right side empty. There is also a spare seat at my kitchen table. I'm keeping it permanently reserved "just for you" 'cause that's the kinda' thoughtful gal I am!!!
I feel we have to live our lives so that, when someone does come along, you can envisage fitting in, and feeling needed.
What I'm like - my friends tell me I'm witty. I can make most people laugh. I have the ability to make you feel relaxed and comfortable around me. I have a strong sense of loyalty, but sometimes that works for me and sometimes against me.
My children think I am random, lol. I acknowledge that I am far from perfect, however, I feel I am mostly positive. I like to concentrate on what the future has to offer....
At the moment, I'm trying to drop the kilo's, exercising in the mornings and eating nutritiously, staying away from too much carb. Yeah that's why I made pancakes for breakfast. Did I tell you I love to cook? lol. (I laugh a lot!)

I consider myself to be affectionate, I'm laid back and gentle in nature. I am suited to more outgoing, social types.
Pets - my son has an english staffy and daughter has a maltese shitsu cross, (inside dogs).

I watch a little tv, mainly the abc, news, 7.30 report etc. Sounds really exciting doesn't it? I think most people can identify with there not being enough time in the day.
I realise just about every man in Australia owns a motorbike, lol, however, I will never ride one. My father insisted that all 6 daughters promise him, never to get on a bike.
Anyway, I guess I'm not all that adventurous when it comes to strenuous, dangerous sport. I have no real interest in going absailing or rock climbing, but don't hold that against me.
(I prefer to be upfront and honest, to be myself rather, than lead someone to believe I'm something I'm not).
Moving right along....... I appreciate a man who doesn't sit in front of a tv, who likes to get out and do things and meet new people, someone who can hold a conversation and be a bit emotive.

What I notice about so many profiles is when men stress the importance of their children (as being their top priority). That is fine, but what I am looking for, is a man who has his priorities right. One, who can put the relationship first, where we support one another. Unless you have that base, you really have nothing. (So, I guess what I'm really looking for, is an intelligent male who has the tools to parent smart.)
Of course, everyone has their children's best interests at heart, but it really has to be put into perspective.
Yes, "kids are our all", but they are only on loan and they do grow up.

On a final note, I have old fashioned values. I like who I am, I am my own person. I don't follow the crowd. I would appreciate and respect someone who likes me for me, and does not question my values, nor try to change them.
I am not a hooker-upper nor am I hanger outer, nor am I a girl looking for "fun". If you want to ask me out, ask me properly.

* Turn offs no 1 - a smoker
no 2 - someone who is separated. Did you know that it takes 1 to 2 years to sort out your emotions and financial affairs after a major breakup? Why not chill, instead of jumping into a relationship.
Give yourself time to grieve.
no 3 - someone who states they are single - when they really are separated. Be honest and play fair!

First Date
First date, short and simple.

Maybe we could meet for a drink at a nice hotel someplace.... its too hot for coffee, icecream would be sweet!

(Cut to the chase, I don't like emailing back and forth so just ask to exchange phone numbers up front).

Thanks....
