I like to take my boat out early in the morning before the sun comes up and anchor in a beautiful cove on the lake I live on and drink my coffee and listen to music as the sun comes up. I like to read and watch movies (I have a killer home theater system). Sometimes, I like to take a date to a divey place with a live band and dance. I was a Marine in my youth and sort of did the "big adventure" thing then. I also back-packed across Europe in college and did my version of James Michener's "The Drifters". Now, I like to live in Texas, in my humble opinion, the greatest state in the Union. Maybe I'll run for political office someday, even if it's just a JP bench.

I would definitely have to talk it over with the date. As you get to know someone, you get to know their comfort levels and what they are looking for. There's always the traditional "let's go out to eat", but it doesn't always have to be that way. Maybe an afternoon on my boat at the lake, but that might not be for everyone on a first date. I am open to suggestions. I have a great intellect, but I'm not snobby either. I definitely favor smart, athletic girls.
