Hi! ---I find myself editing my profile yet again and will make myself absolutely crystal clear so that there is no confusion. ---No pic, no chat. If you stand less than 5-9" or you're over 43 years of age, I'm not interested. I know that sounds bit**y, but I know what I like/want, and I have very personal reasons for wanting what I do. Sorry, but I don't want to waste my time, nor do I want you to waste yours. 'Nuff said.

So then, let me tell you a little bit about myself...
My male friends call me the 'cool girl' or 'just one of the guys' because my interests aren't typically 'girlie': though I love to sing, draw, write, play instruments and read, I also love hockey, football, and get a little too excited over the propspect of a new power tool. Don't get me wrong...I absolutely don't look, dress or behave like a 'boy'. In that way, I AM typical, and ALL girl! I'd like to meet a man that could be proud to take me out in a little black****ail dress and/or work side-by-side with me landscaping the yard or improving the house. I'm definitely not afraid to get dirty, but I 'clean-up' very well.

I love almost all music; and my preference is rock but I have a background in classical (voice & piano) and rock/Top 40 (voice, keyboards/& acoustic & electric guitar...which I am still learning). I'm always learning, and love it immensely. I LOVE music and it's VERY much a part of my life, but I don't live like a 'rock-star', nor would I be considered a 'band-aide'. Music was my profession at one time, and some day, I WILL get back on a stage for the sheer love of it!

If you are grossed out by piercings, I am not for you. I have 5.
If you are weirded out by tattoos, I am not for you. I have 3 and plan more.
If you don't like HUGE dogs (Great Danes), I am not for you. I have 2.
If you don't like kids, I am not for you; I have 2; my son is an adult and lives on his own and I have joint custody of my hormonal tween daughter with her Dad. My kids are the reason I breathe and I will NOT relocate away from them or my grand daughter.
If you don't like the idea of grandchildren, I am not for you: I have 1.

I'm not interested in long distance relationships. I don't care about your money; I have my own. I don't care about your house; I have my own. I don't need you to 'rescue' or 'save' me; I've learned that the only one I can truly depend on, is me. I don't have baggage (we ALL do or we wouldn't be here), I come with an entire household! I don't want to waste my time, nor do I want to waste yours; If you think you might be able to change me, you WILL be wasting your time. Frankly, I don't NEED a man...I WANT a man to share everything I am/have with!

I'm terrified of balloons (yes, I know it's silly, but they still scare me)...
Motorcycles scare me...Lightening scares me, and I don't like horror movies because I don't want to be the dork that screams in the theatre and ruins the experience for everyone else; I'll catch it on DVD/Blue Ray in the privacy of my own basement. I don't mind being alone occassionally (I NEED my space), but the thought of being lonely scares me.

I have no time or respect for deceit, lies and or deception; please, be honest. I would rather have the truth and have it hurt than live with a lie.

I am quite shy at first, but VERY loud (former professional rock singer) and damned proud of it! I'm childish: I love classic cartoons (all Disney, Scooby-Doo, and The Flintstones) and am addicted to the stop motion faves like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, The Easter Bunny is Coming to Town, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, and especially anything Tim Burton!! ie: Nightmare Before Christmas/Corpse Bride.
IF you don't like hockey, I'm NOT for you. I LOVE Hockey and especially my Oilers! If they're on the tv, I won't be able to respond/speak/look at you. GO OILERS!! I don't shop on Boxing Day (I hate it) I watch the Canadian Juniors play their opening game of the World Championship tournament....This coming year, I will be a proud and loud supporter of our 2010 Canadian Olympic Team, and of course, this means both the mens and womens hockey teams!!!

I love holidays and go out of my way to make them special, but have some odd traditions. No turkey at Christmas; Prime Rib with all the trimmings, along with some traditional Ukranian foods. I go 'Martha Stewart' crazy on my house for Christmas and the entire house (including the basement) gets 'decked-out' and lit up. Thanksgiving I will do turkey and pumpkin chiffon pie! Halloween is for decorating the basement 'to the nines' carving pumpkins, dressing up and ALL ages having a blast. Rememberance Day IS remembered; I AM grateful to all the vets who gave me this life! No Ham for Easter here: maybe T-bones though!---It's all a little crazy, but it's never boring, and it ALWAYS includes family!!!

Though Edmonton born, I grew up in the Okanagan, in a very small town.

I'm truly serious about finding a loyal, trustworthy, committed 'partner' and NOT just a 'hook-up', so, if any of this scares you....Run as fast as you can!! If not, cast me a 'line' and we'll see if I'm your 'catch'.

For a first date (and if it was agreeable) I would love to picnic in a pretty park or even after a hike up a mountain, weather permitting. If it didn't, curling up by a cosy fire and roasting marshmallows suits me fine too, as does a BBQ and a beer.

I'm always up for a hockey game whether live or on the TV, so that might make a great first date too! Museums, galleries, Trade shows...They're all good starters! Maybe, there's someone out there who would 'wow' me, and suggest something I wouldn't even think to do. The possibilities are endless!
