I'm in Orlando now but will relocate to NY in June 2010.

I create masterpieces in my gallery (aka the kitchen) I cook from scratch. Except desserts (those I get from Publix that's a Fla thing),I make my own sauces and marinades etc... I also have a green thumb and I'm a seamstress. I enjoy my family and friends (although being new to the area I don't know many people) and of course spoiling my grandchildren. I am happy both being alone, one on one or in a house full of guests. I love traveling abroad (Sicily was my favorite)and stateside.

One could say I'm well educated (I do have a brain) I'm a veteran of the Navy. I've just graduated college and earned a BA. I truly enjoy helping people get on the right track. My goal is to work with substance abusers and or those that suffer with mental illnesses. I am preparing to go back into the work force or continue my education and work toward my Masters.

I am blessed with three adult children and four grand children and one on the way (update: I now have another granddaughter). I enjoy Spanish, R&B, Jazz, Oldies, Contemporary Christian Music,and Pop. I'm not impressed by cars, boats, material things. I enjoy playing cards and board games and scrabble. I do enjoy fishing (and yes I bait my own hook) and the outdoors, long walks especially on the beach.

I enjoy holding hands and showing my man (if he's the right one)affection. In a way I am old school where I pamper mi amor and I give 150% of myself with pleasure. Very easy to please and passionate but I can be complex at times as I think we all can. I dress very casual here in Florida but when it's deemed I can dress appropriately be it sexy, formal or like grandma. I'm not looking for brawn or a body builder but I'd hope you took care of what God has given you. I stay in shape but not a fanatic.

Although I know living is serious I want to laugh and enjoy life. It is said "Older makes one wiser" Age does not make one wiser. I know a lot of older fools. I believe it's ones experiences that makes them "wiser" IF they have learned from them. Life is not short I like to make the best of it. I don't throw caution to the wind because I'm 56. I am circumspect but not a stuff shirt. If you believe we have some things in common I'm open. Just know I'm not in a great rush as I have been reading in most profiles. There you have it!
