Laid-back but still able to focus on goals, I have a wide variety of skills and interests. I can find enjoyment in suffering up a freezing ice route, or relaxing in front of the warm glow of a great DVD. I enjoy reading (reading Bicycle Diaries right now, it's very interesting) and love spending time outdoors - rock climbing and mountain biking are my summer activities and while I both ski and snowboard (different rides for different conditions!) lately I've been too bummed by the traffic to want to deal with the resorts. I have snowshoes and am looking to get into back-country skiing this winter.

I own a house in Lakewood and while I understand it's the "burbs" (booo!) it also puts me wicked close to the mountains (yay!).

I think everyone should have a wide variety of life skills (learn how to handle a gun, ride a motorcycle, use a compass, cook risotto) just in case of the zombie apocalypse.

I enjoy travel and being in different cultures and am fortunate to have a job that feeds this desire. Note: I am not a tourist, I am a traveler. Someone pointed out the distinction to me years ago and was explicit that I fall into the latter category. That being said, I do own a Hawaiian shirt. It only comes out at BBQs at home.

I enjoy talking with people who have a passion, any passion. It animates them and makes the conversations so much more interesting.

I'm pretty happy with my life right now, but would love to have someone to share the adventures with. I enjoy being around people who are confident, independent, funny, adventurous, drama-free, and honest, with a good sense of humor. Quite a list, eh?

There's this great tea shop in Belmar that I've only been to once but look forward to getting back to while getting to know you better.
