To start just let me say that I'm new to this malarkey, and so if I cause offence you have my apologies in advance, unless you're so anally retentive that a little sarcasm/innuendo/banter or otherwise offhand japery offends you, in which case feel free to leave the way you came. I'm sure we'll all be bestest buddies though.

Well read/travelled
Any other desirable if arbitrary qualities as appropriate.

Is that about the tall and short of it, add your own as you please. I could go on to tell you that I tick all of the above (even the ones you've added, yes I'm psychic, prove it you say. You're thinking I'm a plonker right now. Told you) but you'll never know unless we take the plunge and get to know each other. So lets be brave and start, agreed?

A little taste of me then. Currently serving in the RAF with the mountain rescue service, or would be if they would stop sending me to the bloody desert. Leaving the RAF soon to concentrate on a little construction business I've set up. I'm a bloody good laugh socially, not into clubs and chain pubs, but put me in a good country pub or restaurant and I'm happy.

Have a serious side (helps in the job sometimes, people lost/broken/dead aren't always up for a laugh, you get the picture). I'm a little old fashioned, I don't wear tweeds and smoke a pipe or get all 'Victorian dad', but I do like good manners and taking care of the lady I'm with. Sorry if you've already burnt your bra. Best quality, I make people feel safe.
