I have been doing this online dating thing for quite some time now and to be honest, I’ve had no luck but I have met some great people and made a couple of good friends. Dating in general is exhausting! I think my problem has been that I have been looking for “the one” instead of just enjoying the experience and letting it be ok if there is not a connection with someone. I got to a point where I felt so guilty when I wasn’t attracted to someone for whatever reason.

So, I’ve worked on changing my attitude on dating and have actually not made it a focal point in my life. I no longer worry if I’m not attracted to someone or they aren’t attracted to me. I don’t worry if things don’t work out. I enjoy the good dates and believe that someday that connection will appear.

I am a deep thinker and am looking for the same. I am looking for someone to grow with and someone that is not afraid to put them selves out there. Sometimes people behave in ways that I don’t understand but that is ok. As long as there is honesty, all things can be worked out. I have met several people who have been one way in the beginning of dating and it turns out that after a few dates, I have no clue who that person really is because they haven’t been truthful and real with me.
