I'm going to be honest,and I want you to be too. I am 34 years old, but I feel much younger. I work a LOT--both at my "real" job and my extracurriculars (I tutor math during the school year and coach swimming in the summer). I always stay busy and don't know what to do with free time! My time is my own though, and I am very protective of it. I don't waste it, and I don't want you to either!

I have a dog--a vicious looking but mild mannered husky/shepherd mix and we go on a 2-3 mile run each morning. I enjoy swimming, reading all kinds of books (faves: The Hobbit, Catch-22, Huck Finn), watching TV (faves: Grey's Anatomy, The XFiles, Buffy), movies (Top 5: Star Wars (original trilogy), Braveheart, The Godfather, Jaws, and The Princess Bride), and Jimmy Buffett. I LOVE the beach lifestyle.

I'm an early riser--and definitely a morning person. I don't party as much as I used to--I'm so busy during the week, that weekends, I just love to hang out around the house and be a bum. I hate talking on the phone for extended periods of time. When you call me, get to the point QUICK! (But I don't mind texting and email!)

I love to travel and have been all over the country--ask me about the road trip I took a few years back! I've been to the Carribbean and to Europe and am possibly going to Korea for New Years this year! My favorite places to visit: New Orleans, California, Breckenridge, Key West, London, anywhere on a cruise.

I think I'm pretty but I'm no cover girl. . .I can stand to lose a few pounds--and am trying to get back down to that magic number. I can seem standoffish sometimes, but that's because I've been hurt before and I try not to get too emotional too quickly. I'm intelligent and like to talk to people, but I also like to be listened to. I'm not very good at relationships (the longest I've been in one is seriously like 3 months!)--so you'll have to be patient!

Now, saying all that, this is what I'm looking for: I'm looking for a guy between about 28 and 40(ish) who is loyal, honest, caring, generous, independent, intelligent, and down-to-earth. You need to have a good sense of humor--even quirky is okay--(but you can't get your kicks by making other people uncomfortable). I am not looking for liars or guys who try to hide themselves behind a facade. I want someone who can be yourself and who can be BY yourself. I need a man who is patient and who can hold up his end of the conversation. Chivalry is not dead, but don't patronize me either! Ideally, I am looking for someone who is well read and understands cultural references, but who is not pretentious. You should like to DO things--not just sit around on the couch all day--(not that I wouldn't mind doing that every once in a while.) I like a guy with an adventurous spirit who enjoys the little things in life. I am looking for an "everyman".

You MUST have a job. You MUST have a car. Kids are fine. Baggage is fine (looking for some to match mine). A college education is a bonus. A Gator grad is a BIG bonus (Wooo! UF, class of 97!)
