I am, in all things, the classic nerd. I enjoy everything from comic books to video games to tabletop roleplaying games. I'm also really really into karaoke, which I suppose is a pretty nerdy hobby as well. I'm currently in school to become an English teacher and/or author. I love to read and, more than that, to write. I hope one day to publish a novel that nerds will clamor over for generations to come, but if that doesn't work I can see myself contently teaching college students for the rest of my life.
I'm a bit of an oxymoron, being so socially forward as to do karaoke and, for several years, stage theatre and stand-up comedy, but being unable to meet someone without promptly putting my foot in my mouth. I'm sometimes forgetful and more than a bit clumsy, but I make up for it in being a sappy hopeless romantic. I'm often referred to as "weird" or "eccentric", which is usually true, but try not to let it be off-putting.
Musically speaking I listen to a bit of everything. I know that sounds corny, but I really do have a very eclectic taste in music. I would have to say these days I'm pretty hooked on Immortal Technique (underground rapper), Emilie Simon (French pop artist), and Cake.
