I'm hoping to meet a lady who enjoys many of the same things I do, such as movies, fishing, a large variety of music, cooking, and shopping. I have many things I wish to do such as start my own business and, God willing, a family. I generally put others first and my own enjoyment comes from the happiness of others. I am very easy going and try to make others laugh.

I have been told I look young for my age but it seems a sedentary lifestyle and poor diet have caused me to put on more than a couple unwanted pounds. That being the case I have been exercising regularly and eating healthy. I am firmer and more built but I still have not lost any weight per se. The key will be persistence.

As my headline says, I don't want to just survive. I want to live. I watch my father and step mother unable to exercise as they would like to and realize that this is something I can still do. The way I see it. Use it or lose it. Because there will come a day when we can't live the kind of life we would like and it will mostly be because we were to busy surviving. I'd rather not miss out and I'm not about to spend the next ten years regretting the last twenty.

On a first date I would take her for dinner and drinks. Afterward, if things are going well I might recommend some live music and perhaps some slow dancing and more conversation. After that perhaps a walk by the lake. If all went well I would seek to set up a second date. A second date might include a day out in New Orleans to the Museum and/or the French Quarter. I good way to get to know each other I believe.
