I'm originally from Germany, but moved for my PhD to Berkeley and really like it here. As I'm new in the area I'd love to meet someone interesting to explore the Bay Area and to have fun with.

I could tell you how funny I am and that I'm an ambitious person yet very sensitive and caring but I think a person is best described by the things she/he does and likes so here it goes:

One of the most important things in my life are my friends. My hobbies include paragliding, backpacking/traveling (especially in Asia), photography, sport (volleyball, swimming), Italian food. I also like going to concerts. I like everything Rock and thanks to my European origin Trance :).

I'm interested in other cultures and countries (lived in China, Australia and the UK) and just try to learn cooking. Not very successful so far...

I have a positive attitude to life and with my inquisitive mind, I'm very open to new adventures, like this one :-)

I really hate the awkwardness of a first date with someone you know nothing about. That being said, depending on the person, some first dates can be really fun! My idea of a good first date is something simple, like meeting for a drink at happy hour, or meeting for coffee and a walk. Something real chill and low maintenance to relieve the stress and pressure of the oh-so-crucial first date. I find that it is easier to make a connection with someone when you are both feeling completely comfortable and relaxed enough to be yourself. (Does that sound lame?)
