I recognize that trying to meet someone on an online dating service is weird and uncomfortable, so in an effort to make it as easy as possible to get to know me through a profile page I've decided to be as honest and real as I possibly can be. That being said I don't want to make it too easy, I'd like to know that you're putting in some effort to get to know me. Here are just a few things to get you started.

I'm currently serving in the dining room at an old folks home while I'm waitlisted to get into the LPN program at Camosun. It's not the ideal job, but it allows me to be in the health care industry, gain some knowledge and experience and it is also somewhat prepareing me for the ups and downs that come along with working with the elderly. I've worked alot of jobs, both good and bad, and finally think that I have a better grasp on what I want out of a career.

I grew up on this awesome island, and love it here. Its great to live in a place that has so much wildlife and exciting places to visit. I love to go camping, hiking and biking. In the winter I ski, even though I suck at it. I'd love to meet someone who is open to new adventures and doesn't mind looking like a fool while trying new things.

Music is a big part of my life. I love the classics like Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash (Boy Named Sue might just be my favourite song), but also really enjoy discovering new stuff. I'm currently loving Florence and the Machine, Kings of Leon, Modest Mouse and the Decmberists. I make the best road trip mixes ever!

I love movies. I'd say my favourites would be American Beauty and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. But I'm also a big fan of ridiculous humour and think that Zoolander and Night at the Roxbury are just awesome. I love to laugh. I've been told that mine is amazing and have been dragged to funny movies by friends because my laugh has an infectious quality.

I love to cook and entertain for my friends, who are very important to me. My friends have been the source of alot of the fun, love and laughter in my life.
