First, I'm a no BS guy. I don't mess with the emotions of another person and I'm always clear on where I stand. I expect the same in return. I like a little romance, some good fun, and I take pride in paying attention to the little things that often go ignored.

The basics about me: dedicated and proud father of 3, I like music, love to laugh, enjoy a great conversation, understand that talking about things is important, but listening is more important. I believe relationships develop slowly with communication and an open and honest attitude.
Charm, character, humor, intelligence, a touch of crazy, and the X factor are all important criteria. I don't have "a type"...well...that's not true...I do have a type...she can recognize my sarcasm and appreciate it...she's intelligent, humorous, sarcastic, finds fun in simple pleasures, is positive, has goals and is able to enjoy the moment without losing sight of the bigger picture. She knows herself and is confident and secure in her own skin and possess a solid sense of self awareness.

A first date is not a movie or any activity that doesn't allow for conversation and interaction, and possible connection. Sharing a meal, coffee, a walk in the park, knocking off a liquor store, those are activities that all require some actual communication.
