After only one day on here, I realize I should probably clarify something so as not to waste anyone's time: I am pretty open minded, but I do struggle with being interested in anyone who has been divorced. I realize this does not define who you are, and it most likely wasn't your fault--but I cannot help it. Thank you for understanding..

I’m looking for someone to explore the world with. :) Until recently I thought all I wanted was to settle down in a little 3 bedroom house in the country and raise a bunch of kids. I would still like to do that someday, but not yet.

I thought I was just naturally boring and that I had no real dreams. Now I realize I have simply been suppressing them. Some things have happened in recent months that have enabled me to dream again...and so I do. :) My blog is at trulyfreetofly.blogspot.com, if you'd care to know more..

I love to read, and Mark Twain is one of my favorite authors. His subtle dry humor is extremely amusing to me; probably because my humor is very dry and even sarcastic. Puns are lame and I am hard-pressed to laugh at a redneck joke. On the other hand, brainless variations of clean-jokes-everyone-has-heard-bef ore bore me to tears.

That said, I really enjoy people and learning about them. I am also very articulate and being able to carry on a conversation with someone who is intelligent and able to express their thoughts clearly is very enjoyable for me.

I don’t watch much TV, though I do enjoy a good movie now and then. I love being outside, and although I’m not very good at most sports, I do enjoy playing them. Of course, I’m not much of one for watching them on TV, but I can handle that if you can live with a cooking show or two once in a while. I love to cook and bake, too, so I suppose that explains my fascination with “Ace of Cakes”.

I love traveling, and when I can't actually go anywhere, I still enjoy driving up to the airport and enjoying a cup of coffee at Atlanta Bread while I watch people.

Honesty and integrity are the key to any relationship, I think. Plus, for the first time in my life, I have begun to believe there is such a thing as a soul-mate. Mine is out there, and you will bring out the best in me, I’m convinced. We will enjoy doing just about everything together, and you will have so many of the same motivations and interests that we will never have to search for topics to discuss. When I meet you, it will be like I’ve known you all my life from the very first moment. No awkwardness, no embarrassment. I intend to be as honest as I possibly can and you will know who I am without a shadow of a doubt. I’m not into games and guessing what you’re thinking. If you want to tell me, you will. I will always give you the benefit of the doubt and always assume the best, not the worst.
