I enjoy being on the go - going to local events or concerts, going out for dinner, going to the movies, even the occasional game of bowling or putt-putt but on the complete flip side I also enjoy quiet time at home with someone special talking or watching a movie, cooking together and just enjoying alone time.

I have just finished going back to school to become a certified teacher in the state of Virginia - I went through Mary Baldwin and just landed my first teaching job! It was a very scarey step to resign from my 20 year career to make this move but it was always something I wanted and I went for it. I am so excited to have my very first class this year! This is a dream come true for me.
I am very passionate about whatever I believe in. I am a single mother of 2 teenagers and unlike many I truly enjoy their company. My oldest is off to college this year and this is a huge change for us. I am a member of a women's club which is nothing more than a group of woman who truly enjoy each other's company. I love the beach and everything that goes with it. The outer banks is my favorite place to be.
As far as music I love it all - my first pick is country from there classic rock or pop.
