I am a very independent person, sometimes a blessing and sometimes a curse.But has pulled me through some tough times in my life. I have been a single parent for most of my daughters 17 years. But she will be moving forward in her life in the next few years. I am not in a hurry to be married and believe a relationship takes a lot of work. Although compatibility and chemistry have to be in balance, or the relationship will never work.

ok, time to update this profile a bit. a little more about me.
i married my high school sweet heart at 19, we decided to start a family after 4 years of marriage. the same week we found out that we were expecting, my husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer. the fact that i was expecting gave him 2 years of borrowed time,one year of hell with treatment and one year of bliss in remission, but the good lord took him home when my daughter was only a year and a half. and i have devoted my life to raising her to the best of my ability.
a year later i married who i thought was prince charming, only to learn a life long lesson, that you need to heal yourself first. that no one can provide your happiness for you, that you need to find it in yourself, then you are ready for a healthy relationship. i have been single now for over 11 years, and have dated some throughout and have learned a lot about myself, and what is important to me. that would be things like.

i pay my bills on time, no credit card debt, i hate to pay interest.
i work out several days a week, palates, weight training,i like jogging and bike riding.
i eat healthy most of the time, but do enjoy beer and cake on an occaion.
spending time with my daughter, when she has time for me. she is a senior in high school, works a part time job, and has many friends.also very independent.
i like to have fun, can be a bit of an adrenalin junkie, but try to be responsible.
i like to go out with friends, have a few beers, shake it up on the dance floor, some times i like to have a few too many, but usually i'm the responsible one that drives everyone home.
i don't smoke in my home, or in front of my parents, its a respect thing.
i LOVE my job, i have cut hair for over 22 years for the same company. my clients have become my friends and my co-workers are my sisters.yes you can have a group of 30 women that get along.
i suppose i can add more if needed, but i hope this identifies me a bit better.

My first date does not need to be fancy or complicated. In the summer I love to take walks, just about anywhere, on the beach, in the dunes or the boardwalk. Winter is not my favorite, so you could fly me to a sunny beach somewhere warm and that would be nice, sorry i was day dreaming. Well its not winter now so ill think about that for later.
