About Me
Well after the end of a 30 year relationship/marriage, I still believe I have something special to offer. It would be nice to have another opportunity to apply for the "job," of the special man in someone's life. I am quiet and easy going, but I learned how to ride a motorcycle at 56, so there still is something in the tank!!! I have worked for the last 20 years as a psychiatric case manager in Cortland, so time to relax and unwind is important. I enjoy my two sons, who are 22 and 16. Find time for gardening, the computer, reading and raising animals. As a single dad I have become quite the short order cook, but it is nice to go out to dinner and let someone else deal with it now and again. Picnics, movies, a concert or show, or just a plain old walk can hit the spot too. There is always something to keep me pretty busy around here, and I am still working on my 2001 list of things to do! It is the aloneness that takes it toll after awhile. This big old house gets mighty quiet, when the boys are not here. Shadow the Border Collie is always up for some activity outdoors, but he leaves a lot to be desired as a conversationalist!! And he and I have some Alpha Male issues!!
It would be nice to meet someone who has a quiet and gentle spirit. Who is honest and can express her feelings openly. Someone who will want to find solutions rather than fight about differences. Someone who appreciates the "everyday" component of having that special person in her life.
The lines to a recent country song..."I will leave my heart wide open, I will love and have no fear" have special meaning...On the flip side are the lines: There is a place in your heart that nobody knows, take me there!
-You can't always get what you want...but if you try, sometimes you might find, you get what you need...
