I'm a work in progress. Some say I'm a piece of work. I believe that if you lose your hunger for knowledge and the willingness to push yourself and grow, you'll never really know what you're capable of and how much peace you can have within yourself. I don't sit around and worry about things that truly don't matter. I just want to experience life and hope that I'm here long enough to soak it all up.

Charlotte soil has been under my feet for most of my life. I help run a custom paint & auto body shop here in Charlotte. Music is something I plan on pursuing eventually. I just don't care to be a "starving artist".

I figure I should list some of my musical preferences. I won't sit here and name every artist -that could go on forever. I'll just say I love anything that moves me in it's own way. Everything from minimalist acoustic singer-songwriter type stuff, to good intelligent hip-hop and even a good bit of metal. Jazz (new and old), classical, experimental, down-tempo/trip hop, indie, ambient rock, doom, reggae, etc.
I likes the music.

I also love me some movies. Offbeat, witty comedies. Drama, documentaries -Paul Thomas Anderson, Christopher Nolan, David Fincher, David Lynch, Michel Gondry...So much talent out there. Not much of a t.v. person, unless it's Anthony Bourdain, Nat Geo, History or the Science Channel.

Family is a huge part of my life and I'm so glad I am able to finally start giving back to my parents after all they have done for me. I'm true to myself and those I love. Commitment in relationships seems to be fading in couples. If I am to commit to someone, there is a reason for it, and if I ever feel like the passion/attraction is gone or slipping, I talk about it and try to rekindle what has been temporarily lost. I don't understand when people have the idea that they "want someone to make them happy". I think you should be happy within yourself. A partner should add to your life, not be your life. Oh, before I go any further, you should know that I have a two year old daughter- Mattie Dog, my Golden Retriever :)

As far as what I look for in a woman: a good heart, a strong sense of self and self-worth (very important to me), someone open-minded, genuine, not easily angered or spiteful. Somone to compliment my life and vice versa. I enjoy the simple things that life has to offer as well as a few of the finer things.
This is just a dating site, so really what I'm looking for is someone with similar interests to get to know and see where it goes from there.

If you're looking for a "bad boy" to treat you like crap, thrive on drama, or have no thirst for life, please, don't bother.

Good music, good food (Thai, Indian, sushi), good wine, live music, good conversation, the company of caring friends, wakeboarding, travel, art (Beksinski, Dali), weekends at the lake. If you'd like to know anything, just ask :) Always open to meeting new people.
