My joys include reading, writing (currently working on my first novel - - it's been quite a process), playing baseball on a semi-pro team in the spring/summer,spending time with my twins, making progress on my journey to be a half-way decent guitar player, and figuring out how to keep my 6 year old truck running forever. I like to cook, travel, and wait on hold for tech support (my absolute fave).

The perfect date would be bringing you home to meet my family, followed by a roundtable interview with my friends. the more awkward the better, I say. that's how you can measure someone's true worth. Translation: bring your flask of vodka.
If that's not your cup of tea, then I really think a good first date is doing something fun and out of the ordinary...something that takes us both slightly out of our comfort zones and is unique enough that we're on level playing ground.
