About Me
My Self-Summary

"Life is like a box of crayons. Most people are the 8-color boxes, but what you're really looking for are the 64-color boxes with the sharpeners on the back. I fancy myself to be a 64-color box, though I've got a few missing. It's okay though, because I've got some more vibrant colors like periwinkle at my disposal. I have a bit of a problem though in that I can only meet the 8-color boxes. Does anyone else have that problem? I mean there are so many different colors of life, of feeling, of articulation.. so when I meet someone who's an 8-color type.. I'm like, 'hey girl, magenta!' and she's like, 'oh, you mean purple!' and she goes off on her purple thing, and I'm like, 'no - I want magenta!'"

I'm a dreamer, I'm a realist, I'm an idealist who knows when to be practical. I love fantasy, role play, acting and standing out in a crowd. I have a knack for computer/video games, probably because I've grown up on them, but have little time for them now. I love going places with friends, coffee houses, a good book, movies, board games, or anything amusing in general. I enjoy the ocean, lavender fields, and landscapes of all kinds. Hearing the rustle of fallen leaves on a crisp Autumn evening; Laying in a wide open field watching the clouds waft by; or taking a midnight walk through the graveyard while the full moon hangs low. I enjoy plaid scarves and collared shirts, snowballs, fires, and making food for friends.

I'm interested in politics and American government, I'm usually a pretty moderate fellow. I pride myself on keeping up to date with current events and actively engaging in my surroundings, whether that be in my community or elsewhere. I believe that we have a responsibility, rather, a moral obligation to do as much as we humanly can to better ourselves, our planet, our society, our environment--our existence. Government is not the problem, it's merely a tool used to enact change.

I absolutely love art. It encompasses my life daily, and like a plant that needs sunlight, I would whither had I no way to express myself through the medium. Impressionistic and post-impressionistic art forms are my favorite, although I appreciate all periods in their entirety. I enjoy graphic and web design. I am highly interested in photography and enjoy taking scenic and other various forms of macro photography.

My time is spent in the present, and although I try to learn from the past, I hardly dwell on it. When alone, my mind often wanders into dreams of possibility and opportunity, a place where not only am I free to believe and succeed, but where I can disembark on journeys that inspire me with both new ideas and ideals. My friends tell me I'm too ambitious: I tell them to get inspired.

I am interested in taking my focus, my drive, my will and compassion to better myself whenever possible. I am an open individual, and carry a broad view of the world around me while also having a strong sense of detail. Narrow mindedness and ignorance are our downfall. I respect another's choice, even if it greatly differs from my own. I encourage choice, knowledge, and the understanding of others. I seize life and all that it gives. I have no intention on letting it slip through my fingers, time is too precious and life is far too short.

What I’m Doing With My Life

At the moment I am attending college in the process of getting a five year BFA in Visual Communication Design. I am also minoring in Public Relations and Photo-Illustration. I have plans after college of moving to Virginia to get my M.S. degree at VCU in Mass Communications with a concentration in Art Direction. Afterward I will be working on the east coast, possibly D.C., Boston, NYC, Virginia or wherever my line of work takes me. I've also considered moving to Columbus, but for the time being I'm not set on anything, everything is speculative. Right now I hold a part-time job as an assistant accountant.

I’m Really Good At

Editing/enhancing all forms of art and photography. I have a strong eye for color and visual clarity. I love to paint, and although I'm highly critical of myself, when I do finally decide to leave something be, it's something I can say I'm proud of. I've also been told I'm pretty handy around the computer. I have been known to fix those.

I make things happen for people, and get my best personal satisfaction from doing so. I see the potential in others and cannot help but bring that to the surface. I love showing someone a good time, love helping and being there when others need me. I am good with intimate relationships, and put forth a lot of effort into creating and maintaining them.

The First Things People Usually Notice About Me

I'm rather talkative, opinionated, energetic and enthusiastic when meeting new people, and I'm sure my personality is the quickest to show vibrantly. I tend to think I have a nice smile and present myself well too. I value fitness and a healthy lifestyle, I need someone who feels the same.

I love good conversation, oh and coffee.
