I've been told that I have a good sense of humor and that's something that I value in other people as well. I love a good book, a good movie and good conversation. I have traveled some and hope to do that more in the future, but right now I'm concentrating on finding a new job and finishing my thesis in creative writing. My dream is to write for a living,whether it's novels, children's books or on some sort of creative team in a business setting. My family, my church family and my friends are important to me, and I love my two cats, mountains and contemporary bluegrass music. I really like all kinds of music but I tend to get stuck on a few artists for months at a time, so I need someone to help me broaden my horizons, musically speaking. Last, but most definitely not least, I am a Christian in the classic sense - I believe Jesus Christ came here to do for us what we couldn't (or wouldn't) do for ourselves, and then died in our place to wipe our slates clean. I need someone who believes the same way, and who lives by the "do's and don'ts" that God gave us, seeing them as a narrow path that leads to a wider future and not the other way around.

It's hard to think of what the ideal first date would be. I'd like to start with just phone calls, then progress to having a coffee or tea at Starbucks. If we want to keep going, we could move on to lunch or dinner, a movie or a concert.
