I would describe myself as a very passionate person, there’s big passions in my life: cooking, music and sports specially soccer and hockey.
If we talk about the cooking stuff, I graduated from the culinary school 2 years ago, so that makes me a cook, recently I’ve worked in Edmonton in a hotel, and also I’ve worked at the queen Elizabeth hotel in Montreal, and in a few restaurants too.
Right now I’m a student at the ITHQ, in Montreal, in the international hotel management program, I’m about to start my second year and I’m really excited about it, what maybe you are wondering why I chose the hotel management thing?? Well, actually I want to become an executive chef, and yeah I want to travel all around the world, working in different hotels, discovering new cultures and new recipes too hehe! And then well with all that experience I want to open my own restaurant maybe in Montreal or I don’t know I can still figure that out!
So as u can see cooking is something I love to do! I also like to go try different restaurants and to discover new food, ingredients, etc.
If we talk about music, I play guitar and drums, currently I am in a band, I’m the drummer and things are going really good, we already had some good show in Montreal, in big places like the club soda and the medley, our first CD is already available, and now we are trying to find a label, this is like my plan B if all the cooking stuff doesn’t work out. The kind of music I like to listen is more 70’s rock like Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Beatles but I also like 80’s and 90’s stuff like Nirvana, Metallica, Deftones, Red Hot Chili Peppers etc etc etc.
And sports, well I like to play soccer with my friends, sometimes I play tournaments which is cool cuz it keeps me in good shape, I also go to the gym like 3 times a week, just to work out a little, its always cool like you feel like a new person after working out hehe!
I speak 3 languages: Spanish, French and English and also some Italian, my parents are both from Peru so that’s why Spanish is one of my languages. BTW! Peruvian food is amazing! hehe!
So yeah that’s pretty much the things that would describe me, I’m also very romantic I’m the kind of guy who would buy flowers to his girlfriend or maybe cook dinner for her with candles and stuff, or just surprise her with something.
I love to play poker, going out with my friends to have some drinks, I love to dance specially Latin music (salsa,merengue,bachata,etc)
