About Me
Since I am lazy, I will be copy/pasting this from another site. Be forewarned, it is long.

People tend to think that I am both geeky and sort of a snob. They are right. I try not to associate with unintelligent people.

Sometimes people think that I am very, very polite. I can be. It doesn't mean that I'm sweet. In fact, one of the situations where I am most polite is playing cards. Then my opponents get frustrated when I ruthlessly take their chips and accuse me of hustling them. Just because I'm a seemingly nice girl doesn't mean I can't handle myself.

Typically I am armed with grape (or cherry, but grape is my preference) chapstick. I think Crocs are ridiculous, and not in the fun way.

I love taking showers that are so hot that it makes you gasp a little at first.

There is a scar on my right ear that may or may not be related to Lord Voldemort.
I'm all about entertaining myself and those around me.

You should also probably be warned that I may possibly be the least-romantic person you have ever met. Not least-romantic girl, PERSON. I also don't take well to compliments or being called things like "babe" or any positive adjectives that get turned into nouns. Call me something else, like Elizabeth.

The best compliment I have ever received: "If you wrote a book, I would buy it." Compliments on personality/writing skills/intelligence are welcome. It's the cutesy stuff that doesn't really fly. If I say thanks more than once to your compliments, and there isn't an exclamation mark...you're probably getting on my nerves. You're much better off making fun of me a little.

I LOVE trivia (we usually win) and pretty much anything competitive. I used to play on a softball team on Sundays, but our season just ended during the second round of playoffs. I like playing poker, too, and I'm getting pretty good at it. I like to talk about it a lot, so if I get started and you don't want to hear it, just tell me to can it. If you LIKE to talk about it, bring it up!

I love to write, though my creative side has been dormant for ages, so right now it's blogsville. I do write tons of cover letters.

I used to play video games, but I lost custody of the 360, and have yet to go back to the old Xbox.

I don't like doing anything half-assed. Go hard or go home!

On the internet I come off to be sort of a caricature of myself.

I'm awesome at dealing with the pressure of being the short stack. This applies to both poker and life itself. Put me in a shitty situation, dig me a giant hole, and watch me get out!

I love learning new things, observing new people, interacting with kids, obsessing over college basketball, writing, and playing poker (since I have mentioned it 80 bizzily times already).

I love the Harry Potter series, Chuck Palahniuk, John Irving, Tom Perrotta. Things you had to read in school, like 1984, Lord of the Flies, Catcher in the Rye, Animal Farm, a Seperate Peace. I always wound up reading them a couple of years before we did in class, and re-read them once in awhile. I really enjoy reading Maxim.

I also like books about diseases.

I enjoy Wes Anderson movies, Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, etc., James Bond, Star Wars, and really ridiculous movies. Though, I do have to say that I'm not huge on movies, because I tend to feel that two hours isn't enough time to make me feel really attached to a character. I prefer tv shows. Some favorites are Arrested Development, Freaks and Geeks, Chuck, The Office, Lost, Angel, Buffy, Scrubs. I liked Six Feet Under before everyone started thinking it was a pretentious thing to like, and I have recently gotten into Dexter. There are more that just aren't coming to mind right now.

My musical tastes are questionable at best. I will say that "A Little Respect," by Erasure, is played at least once every car trip I make. I like songs that are easy/fun to sing to, and used to be quite the karaoke extraordinaire.

I love food! Except I don't eat pork, spaghetti (or most tomato-based sauces), peppers, and currently fish. The fish thing is a new development. The list of "no-foods" is larger than that. I'm allergic to pineapple which makes me very sad.

I LOVE Thai, Indian, cereal as a snack food, pop-tarts, most pasta, steak, cheeseburgers. I'll eat french fries only if they are very hot and I have vinegar to put on them.

First Date
I wouldn't do a movie, because then there would be no talking, which is stupid for a first date. A lot would depend on your personality and what aspects of it made me interested enough to consider meeting you in the first place. Probably getting food to start (you should find a neat place I've never been), and then if you aren't shady some sort of adventure. I'm very used to being in the driver's seat, but honestly I need a guy who isn't afraid to take control and make decisions once in awhile.
