I'm a 56 year "young" Black Professional who has just been given a new lease on life. Yes, I’m recently divorced from a loveless dysfunctional married that ended in a very nasty manner. "How did I deal with this drama"? I dedicated my time to love and raise my one and only son, and the good lord did the rest. I also found time to mentor 3 other young and inspiring black young men as mentoring truly gives me complete satisfaction. A little more about me...I'm somewhat of a nerd as I love to read and blog (I have a deep political opinion and love to discuss Black History).I took a look at all the "girly-gurl" sites but quick sex is not what I'm looking for. My personality is too strong for the lazy or misguided women on those sites who are just looking for a hand-out or for a brother to buy into their "get rich quick" plan. Please...

Physically, I'm 5' 10" tall and weight about 230 pounds. I work out, but I'm not a "gym-junkie", and play adult league baseball year round as well as racquetball to help stay in shape. I love to dance, go to plays, movies etc. and my favorite poet is Lanston Hughes.

My idea match.... Well, I was thinking of writing this deep philosophical description of the woman I want and need as my life partner, but it just boils down to one that I can call my own...Someone who can appreciate a righteous Black Man for who he really is and sees him as her lover, her father, her protector, her equal, and best friend. She doesn't want to be "the man", but be someone that I can consider greater than myself. She commands respect and projects her sexiness in the same manner as a queen would. She understands her man and is un-wavering in her support. This may sound silly, but I honestly believe that Barack would die without Michelle, and Michelle would die to give him everything he needs. "That's what I'm looking for". Someone that when I come home to her from a 13 hour workday she's encouraging and comforting instead of being insecure and ghetto. Where are all the quality Women? Where are all the so called "Strong Women" that I hear so much about? Can you help a brother out? :-)

I truly don't mean to sound so condescending, but "it is what it is" my Darling Doves. Listen... I was strong in my resolve cause the "Good Lord" showed me the way, and I'm drama "resistant" simply because I believed that "every dog has his day, but a good dog has two"... “:-)

"By the way", I'm extremely attracted to a professional woman as well as a woman with an active libido (its not about just sex, but about passion, desire, holding hands, laughing, kissing, going to a baseball or basketball game, hugging and even spooning while watching movies til the Sun comes up. I mean something as simple as eating a pizza and having a beer. I've been off the grid for over 8 years and miss the touch of a good woman. What would I do for a first date...Maybe it wouldn't be a date at all. Maybe I would fire up the grill and grill some meat or fish, whip up a few condements and pour you a nice glass of wine (or you can have a cold beer, soda, ice tea, etc.), or maybe we could meet for a nice scoop of ice cream... Again something simple where we could start as friends.
