Hello. Why am i here? Found it hard to meet people in my age group, & am tired of being the 3rd wheel to all my married/coupled friends. Besides, it seems like they never want to go out & have any fun! Lol! Seriously though, i'm tired of being alone, & am ready to meet someone.
I'm kind, caring, sensitive, gentle, considerate, open-minded, modern & up to date on the world around me. I have a great sense of humour, & am a happy person. I may be 46, but i feel much younger! I enjoy getting out & experiencing life, attending festivals, fairs, concerts, theatre, community events, & i really enjoy seeing a live band & doing some dancing! Still though, i do enjoy time spent at home, snuggled-up together watching a movie, sharing a glass of wine, talking about our day, or just reading. I have a very wide range of musical interests, rock, pop, country, hip-hop, dance, blues, & a bit of jazz. They say music is the soundtrack to our lives, & i fully agree! My ipod is my fav toy! I'm not a big fitness fanatic, don't spend all my time in the gym, but i lead an active life, walking, hiking, bicycling, & playing softball. I'm not that much of a sports fan, don't spend a lot of time in front of the tv, but i do cheer for the home team(Go Riders)! I'd rather be participating, than watching.
I dabble with writing poetry(had some published), essays, & short-stories. I guess you could say i'm an "artsy" kinda person...i like to go to gallerys, showings, & appreciate all forms of art...i'm a very "sensory" type person.
I have 2 children, a boy 15(he lives with me), & a girl 5(she lives with her mother). I have a cat, & a bunny, so a pet lover would be of foremost consideration.
I have a job i enjoy, but i can't wait to retire in 9 years! I'm really looking forward to the rest of my "life adventure".

I'm looking first & foremost for someone to share my life with me. Someone who likes to get out & experience life. Someone to share my interests, & to share her's with me. I'm not looking for someone to be subservient to me, to walk behind me, to never speak her mind. I need someone to walk beside me, be an equal partner in my life, someone who is not afraid to have her own interests & opinions, & to share those interests, & to speak her mind. I need someone who is ok with who she is, & where she is in her life. We all have insecurities & "baggage", but they needn't run our lives. There is a reason they call it "the past". I'm not saying we forget our life lessons, but the future is for making our lives better from what we have learned. I have found it can be very stressful & exhausting, trying to keep a "sad-sack", or a cryer bouyed up. I'm not insensitive to my partners needs, but it needn't be a 24/7 job(i hope that makes sense). So no "drama queens" please!

Well, i think it shouldn't be too distracting a place, as you do want to be able to talk to each other, & get to know one another. It also should be a place that is comfortable for both.
Hmmm... How about...
a coffee or an adult beverage, then a casual meal at someplace like, Mongolie Grill. Then we can see how it goes from there...
