I'm a writer working on various projects, and I also am a magazine editor. I love to work in my Manhattan roof garden, and I read a lot. Manhattan is my home, and I do millions of things here that I love: museums, parks, biking, walking, free summer concerts, etc. I have a 22 year old daughter. My goal at age 61 is to support myself through my writing and quit my day job. I'd love to get a house in the country. My sense of humor, and my ability to have fun, are the things that me through hard times. My taste in music? Well, let's see: I love classical, blues, oldie soul, 60s stuff. I'm eclectic.

A first date, hmm. How about something very casual, like a cup of coffee in a neighborhood diner? It's good to chat, find out things about each other in a casual way and just have a pleasant encounter. Or a walk in Riverside Park down by the Boat Basin might be nice too. I like neighborhood things, non-threatening and friendly. No big deal, just meeting another person!
