I've been living in Chicago for over 30 years and am very much a midwestern kinda guy (re: values etc.) I travel to St Louis frequently, this my profile stating St Louis as my location. I don't regularly watch TV, but do enjoy series such as LOST, The West Wing and Glee. I'm also a Disney and Harry Potter fan, and have children who still enjoy the Magic of the Mouse, the Magic of Hogwarts, and the Perils of an Island Paradise as much as I do!

So what am I looking for? Friendship! Possibly more, but let's start with friendship first! I am married, and I'm not interesting in changing either my or your situation, however meeting new friends is always fun! A friend is someone who accepts you as you are, who is comfortable being with you and sharing moments together. Friends have things in common, including values. Trust is an element of friendship - trust where BOTH people care about each other, and in some ways, cares more for their friend than themselves. What might we have in common? Like to fish? Yep, me too (though I'm not very good at it! LOL!) Like to bicycle? Ditto! Bowl? I used to average 168, though I'm WAY out of practice now. Tennis? Sigh, one day I'll get my eyes and hands coordinated, but I do enjoy chasing that darn ball around the court! Also enjoy the sports on Wii, though it's more fun doing the real thing! Golf, just learning...embarrassing for me, probably a riot for you! Dining out - gotta love that - Greek Islands, opa; Maggianos for great Italian; love to try new things! Do you watch 'Check Please!' on PBS - would love to explore some of the featured restaurants with you! I think you get the picture. A friend would enjoy doing some of these activities with me, and more important, would enjoy sharing some of her favorite activities with me! What do YOU like to do?

Let's take the first step and get to know each other! Should the stars and moons align, as Bogey said to Captain Renault in the closing scene of Casablanca, "this could be the start of a beautiful friendship!"

PPS. I travel a lot for my job, and am often in St Louis MO (Chesterfield area) and Omaha NE. I sometimes pass by Springfield IL, Bloomington IL, and Des Moines IA. Should you also travel by these spots (or live there), ah, the possibilities are endless!

Enjoying a leisurely coffee and conversation with you at Starbucks while listening to some Michael Buble or James Taylor...what a delightful excursion into the possibilities! Or whatever venue you'd prefer. I'll defer to you to define the 'where' and 'what' because I'd want you to feel comfortable when and where we meet. Coffee, lunch, dinner...all would be fun! Now, if you're also a LOST fan, I'd love to trade theories about the season finale - wasn't that awesome?!!! Can't wait for Season 5 to be available on DVD!
