A list of criteria, if you will....we all look for certain things and these are non-negotiable, for the most part:


1. Must like artistic girls...not those crazy types that cut off their ears or anything like that, but those that enjoy painting, pottery and exploring the amazing world around us thru the lens of a camera. I love to paint and the goal is to sell my artwork and apply to shows.

2. Must like to cook, and eat...because I like to cook and bake, and eat, and cooking for yourself isn't always that much fun. I eat to live, not live to eat. I'm not a wine connoisseur, but its my drink of choice if a Killians or Captain and coke isn't available. I'm not a huge coffee fanatic, but I enjoy an iced mocha from Caribou from time to time.

3. I have 2 cats...and would love a pair of chinchillas, even though I don't know a single thing about them. The cats are a package deal with me and I will not give them up for anyone. I say this because someone told me once that if I really cared for him I would give them up. Sorry, but out of the question. This does not mean my cats run my life or I talk to them in weird voices. They are amusement more than anything. Dogs are great, but I don't want one until I move into a house with a big yard to let it run around in, and then my ideal dog would be an Akita or an Australian Shepherd.

4. I want kids...but not necessarily immediately. Kids are amazing and I wouldn't mind becoming a foster parent. If you already have kids, that's fine, but if you don't want kids, don't bother sending me a message because I will not be interested.

5. I am Christian and attend church on a relatively regular basis...and dating someone that is also Christian and a somewhat regular church goer is very important to me. I volunteer at my church with a group that works with teens and for our gallery. Not a huge time commitment, but important to me.

6. I like variety....sporting events such as hockey or ultimate fighting, board games, cards, pool, art shows, concerts, coffee shops, festivals, the zoo, the beach. Doesn't matter as long as the company is good. Not a fan of NASCAR, baseball or football. Although I will watch from time to time, not interested at all.

7. Honesty is the best policy...sometimes brutal honesty, along with loyalty, generosity, trust, and genuine sincerity, are very important. And agreeing to disagree is very important as well. Compromise can be a good thing sometimes. This red-headed temper of mine rarely gets out of control, but when it does, its usually for a very good reason.

8. Live music is the best...my top favorites include Daughtry, Dave Matthews Band, Rob Thomas and Theory of a Deadman. Concerts I've attended: Seether, Hinder, Buck Cherry, Prince, DMB, Theory of a Dead Man, Puddle of Mudd, Shinedown, Red, Dazy Head Mazy...

9. Being healthy is important...working out and eating right need to find a perfect balance in my life, but getting there. And here's where I'm brutally honest: I'm 5'5", a relatively muscular 185 lbs, and a curvy size 12. My goal is to get in the best shape I've ever been in, yet never will be super thin. I was once described as an old movie glamour type.

10. My dad is the jack of all trades...and it would be great if you were at least the jack of some. It shows a certain level of drive and ambition when you are mostly self-sufficient and not completely helpless.

With all that, if you think you can hang with a girl that may be a ***** every once in a while because people have bad days sometimes, but generally likes to have fun in life and enjoy every moment, then hit me up. The best thing to do on a first date is something fun that allows you to get to know each other. Bowling, hockey games, dancing, coffee shops, sports bars, mini golf, volunteer opportunities in the community are all things that could lead into a memorable first date. Dinner somewhere casual or a coffee shop are great places to sit and chat and figure out if there is enough common ground to meet again.
