So, I'm supposed to say things about myself...most people think I'm a pretty easy-going person. I work really hard with my job, which makes my "free" time super important to me. I don't get a lot of time off, but when I do I'm pretty simple with how I spend it. My dad and I used to watch football every sunday when I was a kid, and I find myself doing the same thing now. I grew up on the east coast and went to college on the west coast...always by a beach. I love being by the water and being outside (as long as it's not too cold). I just moved back east after 12 years away doing college, grad school, and working in between. No offense, but I forgot how funny all the accents are out here; people tell me I've lost mine, but I'm starting to think they're contagious. I'm not sure what, if anything, makes me "unique," I really don't try to be anyone other than who I am. I work hard, care about lots of people and lots of things, and consider myself an overall good person. I have a good sense of humor (at least I like to think so), and enjoy being around people who can laugh more than they yell. There are few things in my book that warrant getting crazy angry over, so if you have a short fuse, we're probably not a good match. Other than that, I'm not real opinionated on types of music. I guess I'm not a big country or metal fan...everything else is fair game. Feel free to ask me anything...I'll probably answer it. :)

I'm a big fan of eliminating the awkwardness of first dates, so I usually prefer talking over email or phone for at least a little while before the "big date." Like I said, I'm pretty low-key, so nothing too expensive or too extravagent. Dinner at a sports bar and a movie (or no movie) would be just fine with me. Sometimes I feel like people try to be somebody they're not on a first date, and that's not me. Let's get to know each other first and save the fancy restaurants for maybe later. Other than that, I'm up for any suggestions.
