I like living in Evanston and working in Chicago. There's a lot of energy in the city and I love the architecture and the lake and the culture. But it's also nice living in Evanston where it's a little more quiet and manageable. I like what I do for work every day - it can be fun, creative, rewarding. I also have two Plan B ideas both of which involve moving to Colorado. I like mountains and mountain air and skiing and hiking.
For fun, I like to see movies. My favorites in the last month: The Hangover and Away We Go. I also rented Defiance which is an amazing story. But the Hangover is SO funny. I also like going for long bike rides and I need a new biking partner! All my bike friends have moved away. I read a lot too. Right now I'm reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larsson. Can't put it down. I like music and prefer seeing live music in small venues like the Old Town School. Some current favorites: Nickel Creek, Neko Case, The Hold Steady and the Dixie Chicks.
I like dogs a lot too. I had a Rhodesian Ridgeback for 11 years. She passed away about a year ago. I miss her and having a dog but I'm enjoying the freedom as well.

Up for mini golf anyone? I've only played a few times but I think it's fun. You can show off how good or bad you are at it. Talk a little bit. Be outside together. Then have a drink or lunch or dinner. I think this would be really fun first date.
