I am very passionate about many things in my life. My children are my greatest joy. As they are reaching independence, I look forward to road biking more, traveling and participating in small musical venues.

Presently, I push myself to wake up early a couple times a week take 25 mile bike ride along the lakefront and subject myself to great sunrises. Haven't done a century this year but there is still plenty of time.

As long as I can recall, I have had a great love/passion for music. I was not blessed with the opportunity to play an instrument such as my two favorites, the piano and the guitar but really do appreciate great artists such as Eric Clapton. I love all music excluding Country and most Rap. I keep up with all the new artists. A lot of young great talent out there. Recently started to listen to Kings of Leon, 4 young guys growing up listening to Neil Young (3 brothers and a cousin). Of course the old stuff will never die such as great songs from Van Morrison.

Although it would be ideal to find someone to share most of or preferably all of my passions, it is not something that completely defines me. I am rich with fun, loving and loyal friends. Friends that make me laugh so hard that I find it difficult to breathe. They have and will always be there for me.

Besides being made to laugh, I think I have the ability to reciprocate with a fair amt. of humor. Yes, I can be funny - laughing feels sooooo healthy - I am my own best audience! I am guilty of some fun-loving sarcasm so please no thin-skinned guy for me. If you can make me laugh you might be the one.

I want to travel with someone who can, like me, find a balance between great activities such as biking, swimming, hiking, site seeing and then taking time to lay poolside with one or two margaritas (no more than two) and a good book.

Please no profiles that includes a blue box. I need to see your face. I love a great smile - I can sometimes read a lot in a smile. Drop dead gorgeous is not important to me but staying fit is.

Chai Tea at Starbucks or a lunch would be a great start. If the chemistry is mutual, then maybe another date later.
