What can you say about yourself without sounding arrogant or desperate? I am neither. I am still apprehensive about this medium but what the heck. First off, if you don't excel in the art of conversation, forget about it! Talking teaches you a lot about people, and I enjoy listening to interesting conversation. I have been told by many that I am pretty, but what does that really mean. In 20 years that will begin to fade. I'm looking for a man of true substance, not someone who is looking for a short term good time. Although being shallow insofar as looks go is not a bad thing.Let's be real, if I don't like the way the package looks, I won't want to unwrap it.

I am a mystery even to myself. I know that I am searching for my soul mate. Time passes... and I've learned something more. Its the sofa. Its incredibly important. The couch potato is a solitary, insular thing, But the sofa soul mate, is what we all crave. Arms embracing, legs inter-twined, a good film and an equally good bottle of wine. Heaven.. More time passes.. and I've remembered something more. SENSE OF HUMOR. About the one I'm looking for: Adventurous a bit wild and a WICKED sense of humor. I believe in love at first sight. I'll know you when I see you (everything will be there in your first smile). I can love a handsome face, or a less than handsome man. I can love a well-crafted sentence, or an emotion ineptly, but genuinely expressed. I can be proud of my partner's self-confidence or feel warm and protective if he's insecure (or jealous, its close cousin). At the end of it all; its all about HEART and all the metaphors we heap upon it; honesty, innocence, bravery, sensitivity, generosity, fidelity, nobility and more. So, if you don't have heart, if your empty, vacuous or superficial, if your looking so hard for the things that you want that you do not see people, then there's nothing here for you.
My point? I'm looking for someone who wants to TALK and LISTEN?
My idea of the perfect first date: Dinner in a relaxed restaurant, not too full. A table slightly away from the other diners. A bottle of good wine to break the ice and open the floodgates of conversation... The PERSON: Well genuine, open and NOT prescriptive. Someone that does not utter words like, I like a woman that's tall, attractive, ambitious, takes care of her body, financially and emotionally stable...". I may be attractive, ambitious (in my way), take care of my body, financially, and emotionally secure but anyone who is so cold that they are mentally ticking a checklist can please take their prescription down to the nearest pharmacy and get it made up (all clean and sanitized).

I guess it would depend on the person. What I can tell you is that I wouldn't do one of those cheesy Starbucks dates, I mean come on, how can you really relax & get to know someone under those horrible lights.... I love live music, museums, hanging with my family,& cooking.
I also enjoy hanging out by the beach, and if the weather is nice, I would definitely want to go there.
Please do not be geographically undesirable. You must live within 25 miles of my area. I hate sitting in traffic and If I really like you...I don't want geography to be a hindrance. Another Caveat: If you are into Fetishes, etc....DO NOT WRITE TO ME..I've received some really creepy e-mails recently.....spare me please! Addendum to my caveat....Sexual innuendos are so passe....just don't do it, it's a real turn off. I don't want to come off as some type of elitist or perfectionist but if aren't sure on how to spell a word, please use an online dictionary or Thesaurus...poor grammar & spelling is such a turnoff. Please take the time to make sure that a word is spelled correctly. I hope I didn't come off as an uptight witch but that is such a dealbreaker.
