About Me
Greetings and Salutations...
I have no idea how to start this. I'd rather not prattle on about myself, but I guess some of that seems necessary in this context.
My description in list form:
1. My hobbies include writing, watching movies (ideally foreign or indie), listening to music, and plotting--nothing too weird (although I do like to wander around by myself, which some may consider weird but I do not). I wish I had some ability to make music, but alas I'm terrible at guitar, almost competent at drums, and unable to carry a tune. Some day I would like to complete a novel (writing one, not reading one--I've done that before).
2. My goals and aspirations are fluid. My current goal is to do my job as best as I can--I help care for individuals who are developmentally disabled so they sort of rely on me for a quality life. I'd rather not let them down. Longer-term goals would include moving out of Northern Indiana, maybe finally using my degrees for financial gain, and finding my happy place.
3. Like everyone else, I'm unique. This is an awkward thing to describe, though. I'm sort of quirky, for whatever that is worth. I have what I consider to be an amazing sense of humor. This belief isn't unique, but I have been told my humor is.
4. I love music. Favorites include but are not limited to: Modest Mouse, Elliott Smith, New Pornographers, R.E.M., Sigur Ros, and David Bowie.
5. Other things about me: I'm more interested in morality than religion. I don't care about possessions or money (although I have many possessions and wouldn't exactly turn down money). Playing games with people is a waste of time and not fair to either individual involved, therefore I do not do it. I'm an introvert who sometimes doesn't know when to shut up.
6. My ideal type: I don't have an ideal type although I do tend to most appreciate arty/eccentric girls. Looks are nice and all but I'm most attracted to personality and the ability to carry on intelligent conversation.
First Date
An ideal first date would be something that allows for good conversation. This doesn't include movies, unless the plan is to talk through the movie.
Going somewhere new and (potentially) exciting seems like a solid first date. Wandering around somewhere interesting works too.
Honestly, just about any activity could be fun with the right person...
