Hi All!! To all of you kept a constant vigil with me over the past 7 weeks, many thanks!!  I'm NOT staying in this godforsaken place (who designated Idaho a state anyway????) So, I will update this as needed. I do so love you all who have kept a vigil with me through the loss of my only child. Your love has given me the wherewithal to go on. Much appreciated. I will keep you all updated on my locale, status and sense of being. You have all done more for me than you know.  | Have You ever had the type of friend that doesn't know why You are laughing...So you laugh even harder , well you can be only so lucky as I have been , Sometimes it's a good thing to have fake people in this world,it helps you find out who your real friends are , We have seen each other through some bad days but are much out weighed by the good ones filled with causing trouble and much laughter, anyways friends don't let friends fry bacon naked with that I'll just say! good friends are hard to find, but that's because the best are already mine. |
 | VGE has certain presence that one feels. In fact I think she doesn’t have to say very much, it is enough that she appears. I read her first comment in one of the threads and I remembered VGE out of the hundreds and thousands of people on POF. Yep, that was that, since then I wanted to know how she thought and how she processed the idea in question. I was always very intrigued by her mind. When I read her profile, I smiled, when I learnt she lived in Giggletown, and she defined her profession as “a professional time waster”, and some of her many interests included ‘oxymoron’. I giggled. Priceless, I knew instantly, she is a kindred spirit, and she doesn’t take life too seriously, has infectious sense of humour and doesn’t sweat the small stuff. Over time, we developed our online friendship, which is growing with each passing moment. I admire her down to earth attitude towards herself and others. She is very kind, gentle and simply has her own style. She is one classy and sassy lady, I grew to truly admire. Thank you ~S~ for simply being here and for brightening my days. ~M~ |
 | *UPDATE 10/11/09* My dear friend, my admiration continues to grow for your every day. While our lives have taken decidedly different turns (mine by choice), I have been continually amazed at your strength. I wish you peace and please know I am here if you need me.
I've thought for a long time what to say about my best friend, my sister. I could tell you she has a heart as big as the great outdoors or about the compassion she has for everyone that enters her life, her indomitable spirit, but the best I can do is hope you have the opportunity to know her.
She puts up with my rants, laughs at my dumb jokes and understands my need to be down right goofy sometimes. We have shared laughter, tears, hopes, dreams, disappointments and we have logged enough hours on the phone that we should qualify for some kind of award. Good grief she even shares my love of lime Jell-O and Cool Whip.
Yep, I have to say I hit the POF Friend jackpot.

 | The first thing that attracted me to this wonderful lady, was her long hair! The second thingummmmmwe'll just keep that private, a guy has to have some secrets!! [cheeky, I know!]. Seriously though, I found her comments in the forums very insightful and down to earth. She has a high degree of common sense and is very respectful to all, unless you get on her blacklist! She has a gracious spirit and an aura of an angel. She is very easy to talk with if you are respectful. She has a great sense of humor to go with all her other qualities. It has been a pleasure getting to know her, and sharing our experiences over the years! She deserves to be treated with kindness and love. She is a no nonsense kind of girl, so guys, don't even go there! VGE, I wish you all the best. Just keep being you! |
 | I only had to read one of VGE's forums posts to know we are of kindred souls.. Her smile is infectious, her witty humor keeps me laughing and her intelligence inspires me. Anyone fortunate enough to get to know her will agree with me when I say that she is as beautiful in spirit as she is physically. VGE is to be admired for her honesty, integrity, wisdom and her passion for life. I feel blessed to call her "friend". The guy who wins her heart will have found his proverbial pot of gold.

 | Addendum (11/17/09)… Ever since last year ... my Thanksgivings will never again be the same ... will always think about spending it with you. It's been almost a year since I went to see my dear friend. A lot has happened in that time and there just are no words that can describe what I know she must be feeling. She is in my thoughts and she knows that. I wish I could be with her and I've told her so, but I have obligations here and she understands. I'm still working on seeing when I can travel to visit her again but it will all depend on my availability to get away here. I'm thinking about you. Love ya, babe!!! Addendum (12/01/08) … Over Thanksgiving (2008), I ventured out to Colorado to meet this wonderful friend of mine. ~S~ … what an adventure that was … eh? She is everything I knew her to be … from my phone conversations with her, to our emails and all our antics in the forums … just a real sweetheart and just when I didn't think I could get closer to her … we are even closer now than before. I miss her so much. I wish I lived closer … down in the foothills … further down the mountain … a couple of thousand feet (she will know what that means). That way … I could see her when my heart desires and no doubt drag her out to some real dives … known to be some of the best places to go singing … sigh. I really do miss you ~S~ … hugs. (1st testimonial)…OKAY, ~S~ is one of my best friends on here. Oh dear … we have so much in common in our lives … even our birthdays are on the same day … although not the same year. (Okay … I'll openly admit that I'm almost old enough to be her mother … for sure a big Sis … and believe me, I'd gladly be one or the other or both to her.) We have been through an awful lot together in the time we have been here … spent hours on the phone helping each other through some pretty tough times … and still more hours laughing so hard and so long that the tears were running down my face and my poor belly hurt. We've yet to meet face-to-face … but I swear as soon as I sell this house here and get my stuff back up to Ohio … I'm taking a trip to see her. I just have to meet her and give her a hug … thank her face-to-face for everything she has done for me. What a talented, smart, compassionate lady you are … Love ya Babe … hugs to you!!! |
