About Me
This summer I returned to Indianapolis after a three-year hiatus. I was surprised by how much I missed the city. It really is a very nice place to live. The only down side is that many of the people I knew moved away at the same time, so my social circle has shrunk considerably. Of course maybe I can turn that into an opportunity to meet new people.

I guess you might be interested in a brief listing of some of my interests and hobbies. I'm really into movies. Some of my favorite directors include Woody Allen, Wes Anderson, and Stanley Kubric. I also like classic films from Hitchcock, Humphrey Bogart, Cary Grant, and James Stewart. These guys had a style I absolutely love. My favorite band without a doubt has to be Led Zeppelin. Newer bands I like include Royksopp, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and The Beta Band. And, in keeping with my appreciation of classic films, I also like Frank Sinatra and the rest of Rat Pack. That early 60's style is just too cool.

I enjoy anything outdoors. I spend as much of my free time as possible riding my bicycle. Having a riding partner on the Monon would be fantastic. I bought a motorcycle last year (something I consider a major life accomplishment) and it briefly supplanted my love affair with my bicycle. But I think I have now restored a healthy balance.

I am a statistician/computer programmer. I just completed a Masters degree in Statistics at Purdue last May but I'm still looking for just the right job. Before I went back to school I worked as a statistician in pharmaceutical research for a couple years. I'd probably like to do something like that again. Really anything in the bio industry would be great. As I continue to search for jobs I am taking a few classes at IUPUI. It's been a lot of fun so far. Still I'm eager to find a good job and get back to work.

I know everyone says the same thing when describing what they're looking for in a relationship, but I'm really just looking to have fun without pressure or expectations. I think dating is most successful when it's allowed to progress naturally. If it works that's great, if not it can still be an enjoyable experience. But you can't know unless you give it a shot.
