So I'm tired of meeting girls in bars (really tired) so I thought I'd give this a try. Not really sure what to expect but why not, right? I figure that if it works out then that's a win and if it doesn't I've at least tried it out.

I'm really big on my family and friends. I have a sister that lives in the downtown area and we try to hang out as much as we can when our schedules line up but it's a bit tough to line them up. I've got a big circle of friends that I hang out with too. My friends are some of the best people I have known and their lives enrich mine. I hope I enrich theirs too.

There's a lot of places that I enjoy but it all depends on my mood. I do like to go to fancy dinners but I'm kind of evolving into a hole-in-the-wall kind of guy. Sometimes I'm in Inwood, other times I'm up north in Frisco, and I spend quite a bit of time in Addison. I pretty much just go wherever my friends are at. I have learned a lot about Dallas in the 10 yrs I have lived here and couldn't imagine living anywhere else.

I am employed and love my job. While I do enjoy my job, I'm happy to move up the company ladder:) Really though, I just feel really blessed and fortunate. My job can be a bit stressful and I feel like right now I have to put in extra hours but when my projects are done I'll be back to my normal 50 hrs a week. Quite frankly, I feel like my job or what I do isn't all that important at all but in Dallas I also feel like everyone wants to know what you do for a living. I have to admit that I am pretty career driven and I do feel a drive to be successful but at the same time I get it that there are more important things in life than work.

I have a few hobbies that drain my extra time. First, I love to play music and I've done the bar band thing. It's pretty fun but it ended up taking too much of my time. I do play on the weekends at my church though and I really do enjoy it. I have an unhealthy relationship with golf:) I play each weekend with friends and it really is one of my favorite things to do. I'd love to meet someone who played golf. I'm also easily influenced to do a happy hour on Fridays although I do try to NOT do too many happy hours during the week. Maybe one here or there but for the most part I enjoy cooking at home during the week. I like to play racquetball with friends and I try to work out 3 or 4 days a week but it's really tough to keep the schedule. I recently started P90X and it's really hard!!

I do enjoy traveling and feel that I don't spend enough time doing it. My job takes me to NYC a few times a year, which I love, but I'm always going alone so it isn't as fun. I spent a good portion of my childhood living in Europe, I've lived in South America, and I do feel that I have benefited from living in different cultures.

As far as what I'm looking for, I really just want to meet a down to earth girl. Someone that can laugh at herself and doesn't take herself too seriously. I have to be honest and say that if you're a sports nut then I'm probably going to bore you to tears as I'm not a big sports guy. But, I'm looking for someone that has a career that they love and feel passionate about, someone that has a great family and circle of friends.
