I'm a believer that a laugh is worth a million, even if it's at my own expense.

Standup comedy is probably my favorite form of entertainment and I can't live without music of almost every genre. I'm not a huge fan of country. I like all kinds of movies. I'll even watch a chick-flick if it will make you happy but in some ways I'm a typical guy and the sappy parts will make me sleepy; I'll try not to let it show. I'm pretty laid back and I don't offend easily. I love dirty jokes, especially when told by old people.

Worth mentioning: just finished Stephen King's new book of short stories "Just After Sunset"...I'm ecstatic that he finally pulled his head out of his ass and wrote something worth reading again; almost all of the stories were fantastic.

I have a talent for computers and keep a small business fixing them. It's more of a hobby but it may become my full-time thing if I can ever get over the idea of being a professional geek. I'm a fan of discussion. I prefer the company of people with whom I disagree on matters of religion, politics, current events and such as I believe life is too boring if you agree on everything. I love a good disagreement over a cup of coffee or a beer...I put up a good fight but don't worry, I'll probably let you win.

I appreciate the amount of effort that's required to look good but women who are too wrapped up in their looks don't appeal to me. If a girl needs three hours getting ready to go grocery shopping then she's probably not for me. I like to think I treat women the way I want my daughters and sisters to be treated.

I've moved myself from an 'often' smoker to an 'occasional' one as I'm having a hard time kicking the habit.

I like situations that force people into conversation so they can get to know each other. Walks in a peaceful scenic location, coffee, dinner, picnic or a pub. I've never tried a first date at a comedy club but I think it would be a good one...the things that make us laugh can say a lot about our personalities.
