I'm here to find somebody who I'm excited to be around - and who is exited to be around me.

I'm an optimistic person who enjoys the simple things in life. Having a home cooked meal, and watching movies on the couch would be a fun night for me. Mixing it up with activities such as bowling, mini-golf, hiking, billiards, going to a concert, is always good.

I enjoy walks, and/or hiking - combined with a good conversation about whatever. My friends and I will hang out at a bar every now and then - just to chat about life while drinking a beer.

Communication and openness are important to me. Being able to express how you feel is key, I'm not good at reading minds (although I wish I could). I know when to be serious, but I'm goofy a lot of the time once I let my guard down.

I enjoy reading before bed. I read all sorts of books - mostly science fiction and fantasy, but also auto-biographies and historical fiction. The last few books I read were the Sevenwaters series (Juliette Marillier) and "The Brain That Changes Itself - Stories of Personal Triumph from the Frontiers of Brain Science" (Norman Doidge, M.D.).

I'll admit, I sing in my car. I'm attracted to girls who can sing with me. I enjoy a large range of music and will listen to anything good, some bands I like include:

Recently I started participating in 5k races. I'm not very fast at all, but I enjoy running. I like to keep myself healthy and in decent shape - but I'm far from a "fitness freak" or "muscle head". To me, it's all about balance.

I like my career, and have been working with the same company since I graduated Umass Amherst with a degree in Computer Systems Engineering. I work for a large computer company supporting one of our main software products. Most of my friends and family come to me whenever they have any computer issues.

The movies I enjoy are usually ones with dialog that makes you think, - my favorites are usually Tarantino flicks: True Romance, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill. There's nothing wrong with watching a silly comedy too. I find Napoleon Dynamite hilarious.

On TV I usually watch things like Robot Chicken, The Simpsons, Family Guy, COPS, Wildest Police Videos, America's Funniest Home Videos, Jeopardy. I also like some of the reality shows on MTV like True Life, and the Real World V. Road Rules challenges...

Demetri Martin and Mitch Hedberg are two of my favorite comics - they are witty.

I have a diverse group of friends. Some of my friends are older, married with kids and like to have BBQs and bonfires. Others are younger, and they like to party and play video games. Some are in between. I try to learn and grow from all of them, they're all a lot of fun in different ways. Friends and family are obviously important to me.

I love finding new places that serve great food (even if it might not look like they do from the outside). Going out to eat, and having a great conversation is a lot of fun.

My perfect match would be a normal, nice girl with a great smile. Has a good head on her shoulders. Able to hold a meaningful conversation, and doesn't take herself too seriously. Likes to be drama free. Somebody who is looking to share life's experiences.
