First off, I'm a single father of two wonderful kids. I'm often reminded of how most men don't share the same circumstances as I do. Yet, for me that doesn't matter much. Having my children around, doing the best I can to raise them, and enjoying the privilege of being able to do so, is one of the greatest aspects of my life. Often a challenge, but at the same time a rewarding one, each new day comes along.

In addition to being a father, I'm also a college student. Going back to school has been a rewarding experience. While at first I was unsure of making the change, I am glad that I did. Perusing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, I know I've found what I'm destined to do. It's great having found something that fits my personality and skills. In the past I've described myself as having the MacGyver gene. So making things work, sometimes in very odd ways, is something I'm good at. Now, I'm just taking the steps to improve on what I know, as well as obtaining a baccalaureate.

When I'm not busy with the day to day activities, I make sure to get out and have some fun. Whether it be with or with out my kids, I've come to appreciate the benefits of making time to play. Yet, lately I've been realizing that I miss the companionship that comes with having a special someone to share the fun times with.

So, the reason for me being on this site is the same as anyone else. I'm looking to meet a special someone. I'd really like to meet a woman that offers a lot in terms of personality and interest. I'm basically looking for someone that is fascinating. Sweet, sexy, smart, and a great sense of humor, are traits that top the list. I've gotten to a point in my life where the fun of a fling with girls that have no need for direction has lost it's appeal. Instead, I'm looking for someone that has the potential of being a long term girlfriend or more. Also, she has to be good around my kids. I'm not looking for someone to be a mother for them, just someone that can be around without feeling awkward. My children are a huge part of my life, so if things were to get serious, expect to be seeing them a lot.

First dates are always so high pressure, so I generally try to avoid them. Instead, I would just like to meet casually to see how we get along. After having a first meeting, we could do dinner or some other event. Its always easier to figure things out after you've had the chance to get to know someone at least a little.
