I'm interested in many things, so boiling it down to a list always feels like a fool's errand; one night I want to catch Lost or True Blood and relax at home, the next have a beer with co-workers (or opposing attorneys!), the next catch a Met game, and the night after that wander around trying to find something new and exciting to do. While I don't need someone with as eclectic traits, I would like someone who will push me to do new things, and be comfortable just to relax in.

My goals are also divergent. Professionally, I would like to become a judge one day. A lofty goal, but always better to aim for the moon, even if you miss you land among the stars. Personally, I would to travel a bit, even moreso with the one I love.

It's funny the site asks you to tell you to say what makes you unique, as if that could be boiled down into words. I think some of my best traits are that I am a great listener, good at giving advice, loyal and trusting to a fault, can fix almost anything given time and determination, am always trying to make people smile and laugh, and generally can make friends wherever I go.

Some of my favorite music groups include, but am not limited to Radiohead, Stone Temple Pilots, Foo Fighters, The Cure, The Pixes, Offspring Tom Waits and so forth. Really, I love all types of music, provided they aren't manufactured, are raw and emotional. If you can feel the music, I will love it.

What I am looking for in a woman? Simple enough, I am looking for someone who has her own life and friends, who wants me to be a part of it, but not the entirety of it. A person who has an artist flair, a unique personality, and who is comfortable in her own skin; not demanding, but also not conciliatory, capable of vigorous discussion, but not prone to arguments. It’s important that someone has a career, or at least on track to a career. I hope to have someone who will appreciate my quirks, and I will appreciate theirs.

First, I would charter a helicopter to take us for a view of the city at it's most beautiful; at night and from up above. Then we would land on a beach where we would both enjoy our favorite dishes which have been prepared and served unobtrusively by nondescript yet engaging waiters at a simple white-linen cloth table alone on the sand. After enjoying a bottle of the finest wine, we would walk down the beach, with only the full moon lighting the way, to a recessed sand dune, where perfectly timed fireworks would shoot off as we laid back in the sand and enjoyed the time with each other.

Ok. Ok. That's what I would WANT to do. And you know it would be amazing. However, due to reality and all it's strings, I would be up for anything; a great first date is all about the people on it. Basically, it would involved dinner, drinks and walking; all are conducive to conversation, which means the most to me on the first date.
