--I'm a writer, bookworm, recent college graduate, and I suppose I could be called an eccentric. The Dude is a personal hero. So is Pee-Wee Herman.

--I work at a newspaper. Basically I get paid to annoy elected officials over the phone, sit in on town meetings where locals argue until they're blue in the face about zoning regulations, and occasionally write feel-good stories about artsy locals and their overpriced antique stores. Every day is different and I don't have to wear a tie. Getting paid to write is enough of an accomplishment that I can't complain much about how miserable the pay actually is.

--Dogs, beaches, concerts, books, forests, junk shops, and New York trips make life magical.

--I'm a colossal nerd and sometimes find myself engrossed in Wikipedia for hours. I read a lot, about more or less anything. I love buying books almost as much as reading them, my place is getting pretty cramped. "The Magus" by John Fowles is a favorite.

--My taste in music? Well, who am I to argue with this stupid website's guidelines...I love Beethoven, Johnny Cash, Clutch, Hank Williams III, Black Sabbath, the Melvins, Roky Erickson, Dead Can Dance, Tom Waits Rob Zombie, Motorhead, and the Doors.

--I love traveling anywhere to see anything. If you're going to visit a dark and creepy spider hole, I want to come with you and take many, many pictures of said dark and creepy spider hole.

--I love my Blue Moons, White Russians, and Black & Tans, but I know when to stop. I go to bars rarely and clubs never. If I'm in a good mood and there's a karaoke machine, strange things happen, though.

--I don't watch TV. I can't get enough of horror movies though. And I love me some zombies. "They're coming to get you, Barbara..."

That's the short version. My life isn't quite where I want it to be yet, but every day brings me closer. And I'd like to meet someone to get there with.
