A little about me...

I enjoy the sound of birds chirping in the early morning,
love hot summer days, enjoy long drives on winding country roads,
love the fresh air at the cottage and nature in general

Like to walk, hike, bike, kayak, ice skating; have just acquired new snowshoes - now need to learn how to use ...

I often go for walks on the various trails in Gatineau Park. Just recently I hiked in to see the old mill near Meech Lake - a grand spot.

I am a gentle, kind and very inquisitive person.

I have three wonderful adult children and
a very precious granddaughter whom I adore.

In the way of music, I like the Stones, Creedence, Beatles, Blue Rodeo, some jazz
and some piano instrumentals. Recently picked up Liona Boyd's new CD which is nice music to listen to.

For movies usually a good comedy is something that interests me. Also enjoy watching the Canadian comedian Ron James.

Art-wise I like the works of the Group of Seven especially Tom Tomson's painting of scenes in Algonquin Park.

For sports, I enjoy watching the occassional soccer match and I enjoy watching sports events like the Olympics. I really enjoy watching the Tour de France cycling.

I enjoy dining out and trying new dishes. My favourite meals are salmon or ribs,
with apple pie, apple crisp or apple cobbler for dessert. If it has the word apple in it, I probably like it.

I really like Haagen-Dazs chocolate ice cream !!!


What am I looking for ...

Friendship

Someone who likes to walk, hike, bike and the like and would like to have company to go with.

A friend to chat with over coffee, to go to dinner and a movie occasionally.

Someone with whom I can have engaging conversations.

Someone to go for Haagen-Dazs Chocolate ice cream or Laura Secord Pralines & Cream together
