About Me
I'm looking for soulmate number 2 after losing my dear wife of 18 years to cancer. It's because of her loving encouragement that I posted here. At this stage in my life, my most sincere passion is to find that same kind of relationship again. I look forward to spending the best years of my life with my second soulmate. . .I just have to find her!
Most influential people in my life: There have been many. Number one, by a long shot, is my wife. The reasons are too numerous and personal for this discussion, but suffice it to say that anything in my adult life that I have truly gotten right, can be attributed to her love, support, and our incredible relationship / teamwork. One other person who comes to mind is my first boss after college. I had no idea at the time how much he would influence me later in life. One of the most valuable things he told me was that he never fully understood anything until he learned it from his children.
It's difficult to name a single quality since so many are critical to success. Maybe a good way to wrap everything up into one quality is "the ability and willingness to love. . .unconditionally." That quality certainly implies honesty, sincerity, genuineness, loyalty, compatible philosophy, faith, etc. . .
Four words my friends would use to describe me: 1. Affectionate 2. Articulate 3. Intelligent 4. Dependable
Five things I can't live without: 1. My God 2. My two beautiful girls 3. My friends / family 4. Books 5. Laughter / fun
First thing people might notice about me: Probably my eyes
Something people may not notice that I wish they would: It takes me a while to "warm up" and be comfortable around new people sometimes. I've gotten better about this over the years, but I would like people to see that I am normally relaxed, confident, and have a great sense of humor.
First Date
First dates with people you meet online are all about minimizing stress! To be honest, I like them to be simple and short with an easy "escape" for either of us if it isn't going well. I think something like Panera Bread or Starbuck's for coffee is ideal. Romantic. . .no, but that's not the point. You're trying to just see if the other person has 3 heads. . .and whether or not there might be some potential worth scheduling a "real date."
