Let's see. I admit it, I'm not good at writing about myself. Now that that's out of the way...

I'll readily admit that I spend too much time doing things like reading and playing on the internet. I also write and paint (well, painting hasn't been happening lately due to room and money). I also have an Akita, he takes up a lot of time and money. Dogs often seem to do that. He's good company, just doesn't talk.

I'm working to figure out a way to go to law school. I know. The one thing I've always wanted to do is civil rights and advocacy law. Figure now is as good a time as any for that.

I have an off-beat sense of humor and I'm prone to puns - bad puns that can strike at any moment. I have a knack for puns and can find them anywhere. I'm passionate about certain political issues, especially along themes of economic human rights, so on these things I can get opinionated and outspoken. I readily admit that. I have a weird Bachelor's degree. It's a dual major with the primary major in Political Science and secondary major in Russian Language and Literature (my Professor was a refugee from the USSR under Stalin at the end of WWII so I learned a lot about early Soviet history too). I grew up in a tiny farming town with parents who came from even smaller farming towns, so there are things about cities that I still find a bit fascinating. Oh, and I cook too. I just hate doing dishes - but who doesn't?

As to music, what's my mood? My .mp3's on my cellphone currently include everything from Wale to Jason Aldean to Nylon's summer playlist. Trying to figure out my taste in music really varies. A lot as you can see. Making it even more confusing, recent additions include stuff like MGMT, Massive Attack, Mozella and (yes, I'm admitting to this) Adam Lambert.

I like making the first date something informal, ideally where we can talk. Coffee is good. Meeting for a walk is nice. Drinks are good too, if we can find an agreed upon quiet place. But I'm always open to other ideas too. :) Mostly I just want the chance to get to know you and hopefully have fun together at the same time.
