I consider myself to be a gentleman that still believes there is a place and reason for good manners and respect. I am friendly amd humorous, I enjoy a good joke and a good laugh. I think of myself as a good friend. I do not use the term lightly. I will be there to lend a helping hand without being asked. I will listen as you talk and when words are not enough, I will hold you close.

I like to do or say small things that make you know of my feelings each day. It can be as simple as a touch of hands as we pass in the hallway, a smile from across the room or a kiss for no special reason. I care more about who I am with than what we are doing. A late night trip together to shop for groceries can be a pleasant time spent together.


Though I have two Associates Degrees in technical and engineering fields, I most enjoy the skilled trades and a few of what some call lost arts, (leather working, woodcarving and blacksmithing).


I have been in over ten countries, but I prefer right here, besides you can't drink the water in any of them. I live in a rural area by choice, for I enjoy the serenity and peaceful living that comes with it. I do not need to be constantly entertained with toys. I am more likely building, repairing or growing something. I prefer to read a good book or watch a good movie. I am an avid reader and have hundreds of books. I read a little each day. I enjoy time spent with good friends, whether for an evening of dinner and shared laughter or sharing a task.



Though some call it stubborness, I call it determination, for I will go over, under, around or through obstacles in my life. I live by a simple creed. I never promise more than I can deliver, but I usually give more than I promise. I say what I mean and I mean what I say.

I am currently building a modest home. I am doing this largely by myself as I enjoy the process. I definitly will have lots of bookcases, closets and nooks and maybe a few hiding places.

I believe that any relationship must be built on a strong foundation of mutual friendship and respect. Just as in home building, without a good foundation it cannot last.

I would prefer a first meeting to be about the two of us learning more about each other. I would choose a small event, preferring a small cafe for lunch or coffee. If in the evening, then a cozy restuarant.
