Originally from the mid-west, grew up in Southern California and have been in the Tampa Bay area since 1984. I am honest, trustworthy and completely dedicated to relationships. I can be your best friend, lover, protector and treat you with complete respect as a true gentleman. If you had a flat tire on the highway I am a man you could trust to help you.

I like lots of different kinds of music and my favorites are blues, rock, R&B, Reggae and some modern country. Not a great dancer, but an occasional visit to the dance floor is cool. I have two left feet, but not afraid to try as long as you don’t laugh too loud and mind a few squashed toes. :)

Although I like kids, I really do, I prefer my future LTR not to include young children. No disrespect, but I have tried this and the inability to make last minute plans is an obstacle for me. My schedule can be very unpredictable at times. Having the ability to make last minute plans in an attempt to enjoy my time off is extremely valuable and having younger children impedes this.

I don’t watch much TV. When I do it is usually NFL football, History Channel, Discovery Channel, Learning Channel and some unusual programming on the FX Network or alternative networks. Not into most “network” programming, no disrespect implied, but it usually insults my intelligence. (OK, I said it !) However, I do enjoy a good movie of varying genres with an edge going to action, mystery and historically accurate drama. Even a "chic flic" from time to time is OK.

I have some Tattoos and pierced ears. I enjoy the artistic expression of Body Art and plan to get more, but they are not a way of life for me. If you do not like men with Tattoos or pierced ears I am not your guy. Yes I am a rebel to some degree, but I am not a bad boy, however some may think I look like one. Cast away any profiling and prejudices regarding my appearance and get to know me, not what you may presumptively think I am. You will be surprised or glad that you truly are opened minded.

I have four Whippets (Dogs) that are truly my children. During the fall, winter and spring months we compete in Lure Coursing events so they may enjoy themselves and I can spend time with great friends that appreciate the sport. (Approximately 8 to 10 weekends per year.) In other words, tolerance toward my love for the sport and my pets is imperative to their and my happiness.

I love to ride my motorcycle on country back roads as a form of relaxation and a means of truly clearing my head. I am not a biker, I am a supporter of the hobby. I never thought I would have to add this statement, but I ride a Suzuki 1400 Intruder V-Twin motorcycle, so for those that only have interests in Harley apparently I will not do. :))

I also like muscle cars. The louder . . . the faster . . . the better.

I am intelligent, experienced, mature, young at heart, patient, open-minded, forgiving, and when the time is RIGHT will curl your toes with affection. (OK, I said that too.) I have been a Worker-Bee, Corporate Executive and small business owner, so my experiences are very diverse and I get along with a multitude of personalities. As a former heavy business traveler I have visited 48 of our 50 states and experienced lots of different opinions, beliefs and social environments. Given the opportunity I can fit in anywhere.

I live in a rural environment and love it. I am not a condo, zero lot line kind of guy. I have been there and done that multiple times and will not go back. I enjoy my space, freedom and being close to wild life.

Since I have received so many emails asking about my Ethnicity, yes I tan fairly well, in order of majority percentage I am Irish, Dutch, German and Native American. (Pottawatomie Tribe thanks to the Intercontinental Railroad.)

I would like a meet and greet first to be casual/low key in a quiet public place over a drink, coffee or appetizers to give us the opportunity to get to know each other or escape if either party feels there is no chemistry. Regardless of the outcome, positive or negative, I would like the meeting to be a pleasant experience for the both us even if a "real" date doesn't follow.
