Its always hard to know what to write about yourself so let's start at the beginning.. I'm a single Mom who has a 7 year old son. He spends about 50 percent of his time with me and I love him dearly. He is my life and comes first. I'm not looking for a replacement Dad for him, it should be clear that my son is kept separate from my "dating life" but rather someone to as I said .. take my breath away.. a lot to expect from a date I know.. but as time progresses you never know where life will take you.

I'm independent, I have friends to go out with so I'm not looking for an activity partner, but someone to enjoy life with. The small things as well as the big things. I don't want a one night stand so if that is what you are looking for please don't bother, the same goes for those that want to play headgames.. don't need those either. Here is a saying I go by now.. life it to short not to..

If you want me, don't play games cause I don't chase I replace.

I enjoy all types of activities especially dancing, a quiet dinner in, watching movies on the couch cuddled up or just a walk around town. I try to go to the gym 3 times a week and whatever other extra exercise time I can get in. I love to travel, from day trips up north or Niagara region to the week off in the caribbean on the beach. I do enjoy cooking but cooking for one is no fun. I am open to trying new things at least twice, I figure if it doesn't work the first time try it again just to make sure.

I'm as comfortable in the little black dress as I am in a tshirt and jeans. 4 inch heels or running shoes. I work hard and there are times I play hard. Yes, I know how to have fun but at the same time I know my limits and I have a head on my shoulders. I enjoy the night out as much as the night in.

I am there for my friends when they need me, or even when they don't.. I like to listen, I think it helps you appreciate the others and makes you a better person in the process. I do have a sense of humour, sometimes it is a little off, sometimes it disappears all together but normally there is a smile on my face at all times and a twinkle in my eye that has you wondering what is she thinking.

I don't mind dating men a few years younger than me but if you are young enough to be my child, please move on.. the same goes for older, if you are old enough to be my dad.. again.. please move on.. I like to meet someone with a good sense of humor, a positive attitude (glass half full not half empty type person) and someone that is comfortable in their own skin. As you can see by my profile, I am tall. 5'9 and that is barefoot.. with the heels I'm over 6 feet. While I don't mind dating guys the same height as me please be prepared.. I do wear the heels out regularly..

A few more things about me (the expanding list, in no particular order)

1. I do like to listen to loud music while I drive.
2. I like to drive fast.. have a bit of a lead foot..(sorry to those officers out there)
3. I need that morning cup of coffee, sometimes two to get myself moving..
4. I do sing in the car and not always the right words..
5. My hair is naturally blonde but my brain isn't.
6. Since fish pictures are big on this site.. I know how to fish and even put the worm on the hook..I own my own rod and tackle box.
7. I am an avid cross border shopper.. but I do support the Canadian economy as well. :)
8. I love a good sunset or sunrise.. my preference is a sunset over the water.
9. Though I'm separated I have never given up on love or romance. I still believe it is out there for everyone. If it doesn't work once, try again..
10. You can tell alot by a person by how they smile, and I'm a sucker for a nice smile. :)
11. It is all in the kiss.. I'm a firm believer of that.
12. A nice cologne can make my knees weak..but being a nice person with a good head on your shoulders impresses a whole lot more.
13. For those that don't like waiting for a girl to get ready, I can get ready in 30 min or less. All depends upon where we are going. :)
14. I like to go out.. and yes, even party it up on occasion. Life is short, we all need to enjoy it once in a while.

I don't mind exchanging a few emails here, or on msn, a phone call or two.. but I'm not up to endless months of it. Life is too short to do that, the idea is to date not to be penpals..And how else would we know about that all elusive click, the chemistry... is it there? For that you have to meet in person. As the saying goes.. It is all in the kiss.. and for that you need to meet. :)

One last thing for now.. please make sure your pics are pretty recent.. I have been on here before and I have spoken to those of you with those pics that are 3 years old..really they don't represent you in some cases. Mine are all from this year. If you don't have one here you should have one on MSN at least.

first dates are awkward.. how about we call it a meet and greet? LOL..to see if we really are normal over a glass of wine or a walk by the lake or around the zoo, somthing casual and a way to check the chemistry we have established so far. the second date can be the real first date.. dinner, a movie.. running away to Vegas for the weekend?
